This. While certainly not a HUGE spoiler...this is the kind of stuff that probably would have been an amazing game moment ruined by the marketing department.Busomjack wrote...
Man, the game hasn't been announced and already they're spoiling it by revealing the earth's destruction by "machines".
And once again, it's IMPOSSIBLE to avoid, because IGN's main page says "Earth is under attack in ME3".
If the marketing department were forum users, they'd be banned for posting spoilers.

I just want to know what kind of release window they're looking at. Hopefully no later than fall 2011.
Winter 2011 is my guess.
Yea, but I'm still saying Winter 2011 since they said development for it will be easier than ME2 and ME1 and will take less time.

Well it's not officially a spoiler if it's revealed by EA. Honestly guys this is not something to panic over. Just think of it like seeing a trailer for a really cool movie that reveals a few things just to get you excited about the film.
Yeah, you are very credible after your Deux Ex: Human Revolution spoiler rant.

If Earth is being destroyed then why the *bleep* not should humanity be the saviors? It's OUR FRIGGIN planet! What, should Turians save it instead.
Bioware fans have got to start having some standards. We're supposed to be smarter than Call of Duty, and Blizzard fans.

BORING?
It's MUTHA TRUCKIN MASS EFFECT 3 PEEPZ!
Uh, if you recall Vigil's info in ME1, it took a long time to destroy everything. The process wasnt done in a day per planet, hence why it took centuries.LordEurope wrote...
I'm concerned.
I'm concerned at how this is going to work. The reapers are assaulting Earth and we have to rally the galaxy to save it? The Reapers will destroy Earth in a day. More so why would they target Earth first? It's incredibly stupid from a strategic viewpoint. The Citadel is still the hub of the Relay Network. Earth is of no importance.
Humanity as saviors? I thought the whole point of ME was that humans are not saints/the chosen ones but part of a much larger community.
I mean are the thousands of Reapers going to have problems with taking Earth? Just because we are humans? No, they should be able to destroy it in a day.

I'll say it again, for the kazillionth time, through cupped hands - {{{they didn't say earth was being destroyed}}}

Ok fine, they said it is on fire instead. Do I need to define the word "metaphor" for you?
