Well I wouldn't say Rachni husks exisitng is backfiring anymore than Krogran or Batarian husks is backfiring. We added another race to the universe, and the Reapers are an enemy that make footsoldiers out of your own men.

If anything, that means that there are already Rachni that have been in combat with Reaper forces, and then were killed and dragonteeth'd into Husks. They're fighting for us, and they're dying for us and being corrupted to turn around and kill us, just like every other race.

That's how the Reapers roll.

The PC gamer scans say Tali is a confirmed permanent squad member.

PC Gamer:

describes Asari, Rachni and Krogan husks.

Powers can be combined. Using concussive shot with cryo ammo causes a freezing wave that..well..freezes opponents.

Wrex isn't a permanent member. (Or at least when asked, Bioware came as close to saying "no" as possible without saying no.)

No new LI in ME3. (Kinda explains why Kaidan/Ashley and Liara return :P)

Squad member "Loyalty Missions" impact the war effort.

Article also confirms rocket boots for Cerberus troopers, Liara will have Singularity, engineer drones are back, and Adepts get a melee attack where they can knock all nearby enemies away. :) Hope this helps, Phaedon.

According to the PC gamer article the universal cooldown system is back in ME3. It talks about an upgrade for the charge abilitiy: "..to reduce the cooldown, letting them [vanguards] use their other abilities almost immediately afterwards."

I am not thrilled to hear this. For ME2 this system meant that most of the time I was spamming my class's best abilitiy and ignoring all others.

One other snippet of information I saw is that Shepard will visit Mars at some point. I only skimmed the article because it's got some spoilers in it. Nothing especially surprising though.

I'd like a system that lets you lower the global cooldown of say, Charge at small returns like (just as an example) one second per point. That there is a certain budget for time gained versus returns. Then, there is a different path that lowers the global cooldown for everything else except charge, but at a greater return.

Use Charge > 5 second cooldown on all powers

versus

Use Charge > 6 second cooldown on charge, 3 second cooldown to use any other powers.

Any outstanding power cooldowns are overridden when you use another power, it doesn't get crazy complex- but it allows a build where you would have more variety in your skillset then picking the best power for this fight and spamming it.

Unless of course, that is the strategy you are going for- one that emphasizes Charge and Charge alone. In that case, you would go for the one that boosts charge itself's cooldown lower as far as you can.

Is these new? from latest PC Gamer

-Tali is confirmed squadmate

-No new LIs in ME3

-Biotics are more potent in combat

-Multi Layered combat areas

-class Specific Melee attacks

-Story is more like ME1 than ME2

-Every major character you have met will play a role in the last game

-Why is Cerberus after Shepard? They are working with the Reapers (Possibly misquoted)

-Reaperized enemies include Asari, Krogan, Rachni

I'm excited that Adepts have a crowd control melee move.

Finally Shep gets some Biotic-fu potential after we've seen the moves Jack and Samara had.

I read that if you reprogrammed the geth in ME2, it makes them a stronger faction in ME3. As expected.

Sadly, I don't see how that would work. There will probably be a choice to make between quarians and geth and I love Tali just as much as Legion... Oh, and they better confirm Mordin for perma squadmate soon or I'll be pissed.:pinched:

I honestly believe there will be some form of attainable coexistence between the Geth and the Quarians, once you drill it into an admiral head or two.

A very flawed plan, since the geth aren't even looking for a fight.

Geth not.
But Quarians sure do, and two admirals are supporting the war aswell from all 3.

Because you know having the Quarians and Geth go to war during the Reaper Invasion is a tactical move.

ME3 will have "no meaningless stats"

....

I'm struggling to think of any meaningful stats in ME2

well that's ok because there weren't any in ME1, either. <_<

Is that sarcasm?  I just wanted to be ask, because if I think you are saying that stats in ME1 were meaningful then I agree with you.  I guess I'm an old school rpg player, and an engineer to boot so I like comparing weapons and armor attributes (for example rate of fire, damage, clip size, shields, damage protetion, etc.) to choose which combination is best suited for my character or play style.  Personally, I like to play a soldier that absorbs damage like a Krogan but at the same time dealing widespread damage, but that's just me.
