Phaedon, I have a points from the PCG magazine.
  • Abilities such as Concussive Blast will now take into account the ammo power you have added, so you can have a Cryo Concussive Blast
Would that uh, go under Gameplay? I dunno x.x

I'm going for gameplay mechanic, because it sounds a lot like the bonus power Reave, and it could drain health.

I'm thinking that since it's called a "Cannibal", it might just actually eat stuff.

Sounds like a glorified Cryo Blast to me, though.

I might be wrong.

Perhaps. Sounds a little ineffective to me, though. I mean, all you'd have to do then is to lure all the other husks to one end to the map, kill them all, and then go loose on the Cannibal while it's going for the pile of bodies.

Extra thing I forgot to add initially:

"One Reaper creature draws life force from anything that dies near it. The time-honoured strategy of taking out the easy enemies first ends up being counter-productive: you make the creature stronger than it would have been with its allies alive."

Uh, well, if you can think of that, then the combat designers can too, and thus avoid such an exploit.

I sure hope so. Would be awkward if I busted one of their new enemies with that strategy.:P

One thing about Cerberus working for the Reapers: Chris Preistly posted in the thread about the PC Gamer article that anything not quoted from Casey Hudson may not be accurate and the comment about Cerberus working with the Reapers was not attributed to Casey in any form so it seems reasonable Chris may've been referring to that.

It seems that PC Gamer heard Cerberus is working against Shepard and (possibly wrongly) assumed that meant they are working for/with the Reapers - this may not be the case and the two could be separate antagonists with different agendas. Bioware specifically said to GameInformer that players wouldn't know why Cerberus is chasing Shepard until the game is released so it seems unlikely that they'd then immediately release said information to a different magazine. It is more likely PC Gamer came to their own conclusion about it, which may or may not be wrong.

It may make more sense to mark that as rumour for now.

The way they stated it in the magazine looked genuine to me...("They're working for the Reapers") of course after that they started speculating that this is Saren 2.0 blah blah

That would be a big mistake on their part if it came out to be incorrect.

And it may be.  But given Priestly's disclaimer, and the fact that journalists have been known to be mistaken, I'm loath to take it as gospel.  Especially not from an article which couldn't recognize an obvious image of Ash as Ash and speculated that she might be a new NPC or Femshep variant.

It was the same article that thought Ash was a FemShep variant. Given Priestly's quick attempt at a disclaimer I'd take it with a pinch of salt. Not saying it isn't necessarily genuine, just that it is unconfirmed.

Well, the new Ash does look quite different from the old Ash, so I can understand the mistake. Still pretty funny though.

As an Ash fan, when I saw that I facepalmed....would it kill them to do some research before putting things to print?

E3 needs to hurry up and get here!

I can't wait. Hoping they'll confirm some more squadmates, and maybe give us some gameplay videos. Also hope they keep it light on the spoilers though.

I don't want a trailer. I need a trailer like I need the air to breath.
