They better not be scripted deaths, cause the fans will be more pissed off then they've ever been. If it's a choice or if there's a chance to save them then I'm for that (would be extremely painful if I'm forced to choose between two of my favourite characters though).kiti.the.great wrote...
Naah, it's not correct!
I'm pretty sure I remember reading that Tali dies painfully. I can't find a link right now, but trust me on this one.

Huh. Grip and scope attachment for pistols sounds a little redundant to me, but I'll wait until we can get some real footage of it.Jzadek72 wrote...
Okay, I've got a reply to the question - the mods are universal.
I know. I'm hoping that was just the magazine communicating the information badly.
That not what I said, I said that there was no info on weapon specific mods just that thoose three types of mod were confirmed.

Ah, okay. Turns out it was me interpreting the information badly. Sorry.

Excellent point. I doubt Bioware would do a 180 now. Even if it would be a twist.mrsph wrote...
When is the last time Bioware has killed a partymember off without you having a choice in the matter? When has Bioware allowed you to kill a love interest without any choice in the matter?

edit: and unintetionally funny in the case of Garrus and Grunt (their heads clip through their bodies)

In converse, the suicide mission created too much freedom and actually created the opposite effect. Many gamers (myself included) felt challenged into making sure that everyone lived, and so many people will be importing ME2 save games where nobody dies. This seems contrary to the actual idea of the second game's plot being a suicide mission.
Therefore, I want ME3 to find a balance between the two. Give us freedom, but too much. I want some tragic ends to some great characters.

I honestly think the impact of a dying character has been well overused in Mass Effect. It's just an excuse for cheap drama at this point for me.
I suppose keeping everyone in the cast alive, and having the finale be a peaceful handholding ceremony with the Reapers is your definition of quality drama?

That's the thing, though. Its war. Not only war, but war with nearly god-like beings with incredible power. If no one dies, I'm calling BS. That doesn't mean everyone has to die, and there are certainly better ways to portray deaths. I also would certainly like some input into who dies and when (preferably indirectly, though). I just don't think everyone can get out of this unscathed.

I think SWM is saying that deaths shouldn't be overrused to try and build drama. A few deaths here and there are okay, but just killing everyone off will nilly just destroys it.
That.
And I think the millions of people dying at the hands of the Reapers compensates for squadmate deaths well enough.

Yep.
I'd like the "dark" and "desperate" aspects of the game to involve destruction in a larger sense, in the form of there being a fair amount of damage to the galaxy no matter what. Rather than unalterable squadmate death (s).
That said, I'm prepared for pretty much anything.

And because of that, Garrus has some plot armor....hm. Perhaps this has something to do with Sidonis. Save Sidonis and he'll take the knife for Garrus. Don't save him and...well. Sorry, Archangel.

Really? I love it! They're will be a lot of death in ME3 and it just wouldn't hit us the same if people close to us didn't die.True Zarken wrote...
I really don't like the idea of squadmates dying. But if Bioware wants to really hit home they would kill off a squadmate you've gotten close with and developed a relationship with (Not romance) perfect example is I still have a hard time picking between Ash and Kaidan.
Its like going through all the Harry Potter books without anyone close to Harry dying. Pretty boring...

I vote Thane. He's going to die anyway.
