To some of us it doesn't matter if it is glorious or not. I certainly didn't buy two games and wait 5 years for the third to get a bunch of scripted deaths I don't want. It would rob me of any sense of reward for this whole saga.

Giving people the OPTION of seeing those "glorious deaths" though...to each their own. People are free to choose. But BW better not force that sort of...well...**** on me.

Killing characters for the drama and emotion is just weak.

I think characters can provide a lot of it even if they're not dying to complete some cliché scene.

Except the game is built on choices. Railroading someone into losing a fan favorite character, like Garrus, is just stupid.

I really think they were referring to the consequences for cheating anyway. Cheat on Kaidan with Garrus? Garrus or Kaidan may sacrifice themselves for some stupid reason later in the game.

Oh, Garrus doesn't have any plot armor. Plot armor refers to being so integral to the plot that a character can't die no matter what happens. Garrus can die as of ME2; therefore, he has no plot armor. The only squadmate who actually does have plot armor is Liara, but you could count the Virmire survivor as well--though not quite to the same extent.

I've demanded it before. It's just my voice has been drowned out. But Mordin is quite possibly my favourite character, along with Garrus and Ashley.

Well, many of the professional reviews briefly fixated on Mordin and the reviewer's love of the character. So that's definitely worth pointing out!

I meant plot armor in the sense that he does have such a high popularity that it would be unlikely for a death to be unpreventable. Though I suppose that might be giving the devs too much/little credit I suppose. Maybe I should just be quiet. 

But I still like my Sidonis theory.

If Garrus dies in an awesome way, I can live with it. Emotionally, I won't be happy (and my wife will be PISSED), but if done well it would make for great storytelling. The same for Thane, but with a slightly lesser emotional connection.

But there's something about finishing the game with all the ME1 survivors alive to reap(heheh) the benefits of a saved galaxy when it's all said and done. !Shep, Garebear, Taltal, Wrexypoo, Lil Blue, Batman Villain, and One Who Didn't Get Nuked are like a big family, in my opinion.

I will make sure she doesnt die in ME3 and if she does ill play the game until she doesnt. Even if it isnt preventable lol:D
