And personally, since I don't dig the ME1 romance options enough to go back to them, and it looks like they're focusing more there. And I didn't happen to romance Tali. So, the way I played looks like I may get less of an experience.
And sure, I'd rather have Jack on my squad than Ashley, but I don't expect every previous character to be available. Which is why new romance options are necessary for it to stack up to its predessesors. Just sayin'.
While the games tie together, they should all be able to stand on their own as solid stories, and without any new romance options that's one way it's a less complete story than the previous games.

As for the Cerberus elites and the bosses .... I hope they are something akin to fighting Vasir or the Shadow Broker, which I really enjoyed, instead of the Reaper Baby, which was just ... ugh. Oooh man 2012 can't come fast enough.

If this game is as good of an adventure story as ME1 or ME2, it would include a new character for you to get to know romantically.

There's more to these games than just romance, and the finale of a trilogy is not where you intoduce such characters.
We have more than enough.

It's fine that you disagree, but I have no idea why you feel like telling me that "we" have more than enough, just because you happen to like what's presented. For me, not enough.
And it being the final entry in the series doesn't mean they can't include new characters. One game has been enough time to fully flesh out a character before.

By this time the majority of players have already picked a romance anyway. There's someone for almost everyone. I'd rather the romance resources go to fleshing out the characters and relationships we've already grown fond of rather than implementing yet another shallow one-game romance.

So I hear they say there won't be new love interest options in this game? That's not good.
I like to have a love interest on the team, and since it looks like Jack won't be on the team... well things aren't looking good for Shepard!
Bioware, if you're reading this, don't do this to Shepard. Just personal preference, looks like if you weren't into Ashley, Liara, or Tali you'll get less of an experience. That's not gonna fly.
Are you kidding me! If any ME2 charcter (exept Garrus and Tali) EVER APPEAR IN ME3, I could bet a million bucks it will be Jack. Why? Because we're fighting f**king Cerberus! Jack hates Cerberus! Do some math and what do you get? Awesome character development for Jack in ME3 (if she will be perma).
Seriously, calm down. We will have to wait and see which characters are returning as perma and which are not.

I'm calm, I swear!
While I'm making wishes, Jack needs to have spiky pink anime punk hair in ME3. Just sayin', I think that's where her character needs to go.

Another potential angle for her story: if you take her on the LotSB mission, the SB mentions that she's Number 2 on the Collectors' wishlist; the only person the Reapers want more is Shepard himself.Jentario wrote...

So it may not just be a matter of her wanting to give Cerberus a beatdown...something tells me they'll be after her like they're after Shepard.

They meant no new romance options as in no new people.
Which we don't need anyway because this is the last damn game.
This.
Either you have done the romances you want to, or you haven't.
And if you're a newcomer, well, too bad.

or, newcomers simply get to choose one of the existing set - i hardly think they will exclude them from the romances.

NO! the reason it works fluidly in GoW is because it's on the same button as taking cover...!

While your phrasing is a bit simplistic.......yes, I do agree.
While I'm at it: what's this in the current thread title about a "requested LI edition"?

no new LI? that suks!!! bioware i really need new LI,or at least i want be able to romance tali in me3,because i want to see her face:P
They said that new players would get a great introduction to the LIs, which I interpret as "New players will have the opportunity to romance the existing LIs". They also said that existing romances would get a "final resolution", which means that in imported games you will be able to continue your old romances. How much screen time they get, that's another question...
What I'd like to know is this: if you import a game, but romanced no one in ME1 and ME2, will you have a new opportunity for a relationship with the existing LIs?
