Thats not the upgrade systems fault that the inventory system. I would prefer to upgrade my guns like in ME1 but only be able to do it before a mission or at a specific point in the mission like ME2. I think Collecting blue prints for parts and mining countless planets for the mineral to make those parts, then have the same upgrade to apply to all types of that weapon is silly and take out the fun of basically building you own weapon as well as part of the strategy of balancing out your teams weapons. Its also silly the way they turn ammunition in to a power instead of an upgrade in ME2.Phaedon wrote...
I'll have to disagree with both sorry. Actually, with the first one, I'll just say that I hope that it is nothing like the previous games. ME1 managed to ruin the inventory, and introduce new stats with little actual effect in combat and no visual incentive.
No its a great Idea they just implemented it poorly the first time. With some optimization it should last the same amount of time as a splash screen. And the could even you the floor indicator as a loading bar. Not to say Cut scenes don't have a place, they just do fit in to ever part where they need to load a level. But Come on you can't say you liked seeing that same splash screen ever time you used the elevator on the Normandy in ME2.Phaedon wrote...
I still think that elevators are the worst possible execution of seamless loading, even if Bioware manages to make loading times shorter (as in, not 2 minutes). Others, such as the shuttle sequences and following sequences in Kasumi and Arrival are much better.
Imo always.

They pushed back the release date because the second half of ME3 is going to be the "spiritual successor" to Shattered Steel. Returning to the roots indeed.

The problem originates from three causes within the modding system: a) No visual incentive,Thats not the upgrade systems fault that the inventory system. Its also silly the way they turn ammunition in to a power instead of an upgrade in ME2.
Actually, I have two problems with this idea. a) The loading times are too small for proper banter,No its a great Idea they just implemented it poorly the first time. With some optimization it should last the same amount of time as a splash screen. And the could even you the floor indicator as a loading bar. Not to say Cut scenes don't have a place, they just do fit in to ever part where they need to load a level. But Come on you can't say you liked seeing that same splash screen ever time you used the elevator on the Normandy in ME2.
If use elevators only for long loading times, I wouldn't mind them at all. But they aren't as cinematic as other means of hidden loading, imho.

Lol, brace yourself for
That said, I hope the mech thing does only play a small role, but an awesome one. It should have a heroic sacrifice.

I think have an enemy burst in to flames and turn to dust is a pretty good visual incentive. But if your talking about each upgrade changing the look of the weapon I doubt that will happen. If anything it will just be three different models with varying textures, to be realistic. Yeah the 10 different levels for the same upgrades was a bit excessive. that is easily fixed though all the have to do is have one upgrade replace the last as its acquired, and have all the upgrades stored separate from the main inventory. About the up grades having little effect it was the same way in ME2

No but I still think there better then all the splash screen in ME2. I feel that was a step back.
If Mass Effect 3 combines the elevators Cut Scenes and Seamless in level loading it should be good. But a lot of problems with the Seamless in level loading is the low amount of memory consoles have now.

".@DarthSliver Thats the plan. After a few years, its probably time for a new hair cut"
So I guess the thing here is Import Shepard will get some customization and wont be limited to New Shepards only.

U mad, bro? Play a real game, like an rpg. Mass effect 1, for example, displays complex RPG features, such as a refined and definitive inventory.Phaedon wrote...

I dont know if this has been said but I asked Casey Hudson if Imported Shepard will be able to change their Hairstyle and other minor stuff to that effect. His response is this:

I want a real beard? No more of this he's the military BS. Other Military officers in the game have real beards and not just one days worth of growth. why not Shepard?

Btw, I thought it was confirmed and not rumoured that we could pilot the atlas? Also, have you added the rumour that there'll be new hair. (from Chud's twitter)

But rarely did enemies burst into flames/plasma etc, I am talking about the customization itself.Celrath wrote...

I don't see why every model won't change. At least that's what magazines, especially GI in their podcast imply. Also, there will be more personalization, as you cah choose different colours, camo etc.
That's not really the problem, the only difference between levels are some minor stat changes.that is easily fixed though all the have to do is have one upgrade replace the last as its acquired, and have all the upgrades stored separate from the main inventory.
Yeah, but I didn't really mind those, as they only lasted 10 seconds max. Since hidden loading has improved since ME1, I'd love to see it back.No but I still think there better then all the splash screen in ME2. I feel that was a step back.
True enough. If Mass Effect 3 combines the elevators Cut Scenes and Seamless in level loading it should be good. But a lot of problems with the Seamless in level loading is the low amount of memory consoles have now.

New hair source. Hope it works, twitter has been a bit flakey today. Hopefully they can apply the new shader tech to Sheps hair too.
