I seriously hope the first one is not true... I will pay for another 2 installments if they do it.

I realize that this is not exactly "confirmed", and it may be complete rubbish as I am not familiar with GameRant's reputation for accurate journalism, but they are quoting GameStop on an ME3 release date of 11-8-10. I don't know if anyone else has seen this, or can discredit the source, but it has been up for 10 days now. See link below:

gamerant.com/mass-effect-3-release-date-dyce-57442/

The best confirmed date that we have had so far is Winter 2011, and I think that it's safer to keep it that way. Thanks anyway. :)

I think having a 2011 release date is good enough for me

Yes, I would be rather surprised to see Mass Effect 3 come out in the next few days.

lol, I have done this in the past as well, fixed. Yes, Winter 2011 is the only safe release date that we have right now.

I can only hope that they started on ME3 before ME2 got out of the door, gave programmers and writers some time. I am somewhat wary of "pushed" release-dates. It usually never ends well. They forced the early release of KOTOR2 and that handicapped the end-product to no end. And that's only one example where management and money-people wrecked something good.

Actually, they did, it's in one of the first sources I think, it's from IGN. A 2 year production period for a sequel is generally considered enough anyway.

I hope Bioware gives the characters new armors and clothes. Because, really, who liked the old school armor everyone was wearing except Shepard? I was kinda annoyed people only wore armor from ME1. And Tali also gets new armor and every other quarian uses they ME1 armor? That's just not right.

You know what?  I'm sure this has been discussed before...but no more missions with time limits set to them.

If I go get the Reaper IFF so I can get Legion, I don't want the game to automatically kick in and decide it's time to try to push me in to going to the Omega 4 relay to save my team before I'm ready.

I was playing my second playthrough just now, and had Kelly die because "I wasn't fast enough" getting to them. That's bulls***.  If you force me to go do a mission to get a character...then don't attach a time frame after that that effects the outcome of the crew.

If ME3 has more of this crap, I don't know...Feels bad, man.  I was just playing and had to rant somewhere.  Stuff like this makes me not want to play again. :(

Timed dialogue is a no for me. Alpha Protocol was a piece of steaming ****. Why even take anything from that dung heap? Why is there speculation that Alpha Protocol has any effect on Mass Effect?? Two different developers, two different stories.bbg

@Dr.Heart think you'll notice it was more than just Kelly that you lost. Anyway I can see why they did it. As I think losing crew as well as squad will have consequences in ME3. IMHO it adds more immersion into the game because you get to see some consequences for your actions

They did need to add some sort of urgency to the game, but it just made me avoid getting legion as a character until the last second

Maybe timed choices -if they'll exist- will be limited to a few ones all over the game, we'll see,we'll see...

This is a petition, I don't think that it could fit under these categories.

Vehicle Based Exploration might return in ME3.

^I found it kind of funny that this is listed under 'Promises'. How can you promise that something might  return? Instead, couldn't we put this under 'Confirmed Features'? It's kind of hard to go wrong with a statement like that... [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]

Well they consider reimplementing in ME3, dunno how else to say that.

I was just pointing out that regardless of whether they implement vehicles for ME3, a 'promise' with room for uncertainty isn't really much of a promise, since there is no way it could possibly be broken. If it was me, I would probably have a category for 'developer quotes' or something instead of 'promises', but I think what you've done is fine.

'If your Shepard dies in ME2, you won't be able to import your save in ME3.'

Yay for save files.

'ME3 will end the Shephard story arc.'

I guess this spells the end of the ME series after ME3. I was hoping for a ME4 after considering how well the series are doing so far D;

They had better not put the cursed nightmare that is the mako back in. If they do at least fix the driving controls.

Thanks for your contribution, and you definitely have a point, I think that I'll rephrase it as soon as I get some time. ;) (aka tomorrow)

Actually, nope. I believe that BW has said that they want to expand the universe even further.
