There are too few Mordin fans, although I suspect he may be the best character Bioware have ever written - he's hilarious, but also has a lot of depth.

Everybody loves Mordin.  Seriously.

You just can't write smut about him.

Or can you?

LMFAO I LOL'D
That'd be interesting though... I mean, both have a short life span...

Every one must spam the Mordin Thread and get BW noticing.

Edit: Also, everyone that REALLY likes Mordin must use the picture I'm using in their signiture. We may also have some luck twitting KC on this matter.

I like to think that the characters given roles of importance are generally chosen due to the demands of the plot and not the whims of the fanbase. However I can see why it would influence who they write into which roles and whatnot.

This is one reason I reaaaally want a detailed making of for ME3. I would love to hear the writers (for example) views on how the trilogy was shaped and changed over the years. No doubt they had a bunch of it mapped out from the start, but much must have changed - particularly after the sucess of ME2.

I'm with you. A behind-the-scenes look at the development of Mass Effect 3 is numero uno on my wish list for Collector's Edition fare.

I like to think the same, by the way, but I'm sure it's a bit of a blending. In either case, I wonder if there is indeed truth to the magazine statement that 'the plot dicates Mordin stay close to Shepard'.

For ME3 CE I would love an art book along with some making of movies, an in game bonus or two and a real omni-tool (lol, but you get my point: something cool and solid)

Mordin's inspiration was Clint Eastwood. You just can't top that. :P

Back to Mordin, he was not just a good character, but a good Squad Mate too. He had some of the best offensive-tech powers.

There's a rumor that Mass Effect 3 may come out on Nintendo's Project Café. Maybe you could add it to the rumor mill.

www.nitrobeard.com/home/2011/5/16/e3-2011-rumored-project-cafe-launch-list.html

This is most probably a fake list, though.

Hey there! I'm Wes (the author of that article), and you're correct, the list is probably fake. It's apparently made by a forumer at gaming site NeoGAF, who is 'internet famous' for making fake lists. I posted the article to poke fun at pre-E3 shenanigans.

While Mass Effect 2 just got released on PS3, and the series is now a true third-party cross-platform project, odds are *very* slim that a full Mass Effect Trilogy would come out on Project Cafe.

I will say, though, stranger things have happened!

I don't know if the list of Project Cafè's game is a fake or not, but the fact that in the list it's written ME3 with possibly ME means that the writer doesn't know a lot about the IP. ME is a Xbox/PC exclusive, since MS have rights on it.

We don't know that for sure. Ray Muzyka was asked in an interview why ME1 didn't come out on PS3. his answer:

Muzyka: Well, it’s a range of factors. We made the determination that the game we thought represented the franchise the best was Mass Effect 2. And we brought it over and are really happy with the result.

www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/04/13/exclusive-bioware-s-doctors-talk-mass-effect-3.aspx

He didn't confirm it's about exclusivity rights.

And its that quote which has been bugging me since i saw the interview. It would seem from that quote that he disregards the value of ME1 and me as a Mass Effect fan find that disturbing. Its like saying, well we didnt release ME1 for ps3 because the game mechanics are different and it just sucks.

Sorry if i taken his quote out of context there but still disturbing that they would disregard the value of ME1. Some ME fans, like myself, cant afford to replace a 360 everytime it RROD. Thats why i was glad at my chance to play ME2 on the ps3. With 360 Slim I will play ME series as a whole, but still need to save up for that.

But to me his either saying ME1 sucks or doesnt have what it takes to say Microsoft wouldnt let them because they own publishing rights to the game.

Just my opinion. But it made me think that some of our former squadmates will be important temporary squadmates for the outcome of the game.    What better reason to play a side-mission than to get a good ending AND team up with our old surviving friends.

Nevertheless.  Great addition.   Always hated meaningless missions.    I always felt the Hammerhead should have wreaked some havoc on the Collector base.

They probably just wanted to give a better answer than "publishing rights". Apparently Michael Pachter (I know,I know) said he heard from both Microsoft and EA that ME1 cant ever come to the ps3.

Story structure in ME3 is more based on the progression of the high-level arc versus a recruitment story like in ME2.

Well they couldve said better than making it sound like they were throwing ME1 under a bus to get ran over. Thats the impression I get everytime i think of that quote sadly to say.

Now its time to go back to giving false hope in this thread jk. Dont wanna derail by accident.
