It has also been confirmed that shephard infact will not be raped in ME3.ark fear monger wrote...

Story structure in ME3 is more based on the progression of the high-level arc versus a recruitment story like in ME2.

Let's not go there.
The tweet about story structure is very interesting. It sounds like we still have to gather our squad in ME3 but hopefully it means it will be quick like gathering our team was in ME1 as opposed to doing recruitment missions.

Or a mixture of recruitment and plot missions.

Yeah. I find it hard to believe that some of the party recruitment won't go hand in hand with the civilisation 'recruitment'. Tali for instance. Although I suppose a good number of those major plot missions could involve temporary squad members if they are adding a bunch of them this time around. I will eat my wonderfully tailored hat if Miranda doesn't play a role in the Cerberus plotline should she be alive.

I agree with you. The "recruitment" in ME1 felt like it came more naturally and was part of the story. There must be enough handles for the writers to do the same for ME3. After all, a lot of old companions are returning (from ME1 and hopefully a couple from ME2 as well). If the new ones have a connection to the story in which you get to know them for that reason then that would feel much better to me than some random people from a dusty list.leonia42 wrote...

Did anyone else know that Emily Hopkins is playing a vigilante in Mass Effect 3?
...No. Seems odd we didn't hear about that.

I mentioned this in another thread, and I'll mention it again here because I worry about it. The side missions in ME1 & 2 felt like I was wasting time while sh*t was going down somewhere else (story wise).
"The collectors have abducted another human colony? Hmm, well, lets scan these planets and clean out this merc base first, then I suppose to we swing by and take a look..."
It would be great if there were pros and cons for doing things right away as opposed to waiting until you are ready (I'm thinking element of surprise?).

Where there'll be a reveal of ME3,
The Reapers are coming,
And fans are gonna be cumming,
ME3 will be the best game ever,
I will love this game forever,
We may see Tali's face,
And save the human race,
We will kill all the Reapers,
Laugh at all the Keepers,
Help the Quarians get their homeworld back,
Take a look at Miranda's rack,
We will stop the genophage,
Shout at the Illusive Man with rage,
Hear Mordin Solus sing another song,
Play the game all night long!
That is all...

Commander Shepard should sing this as an easter egg in ME3!

Even better: EDI SHOULD SING THIS!!! (but that would be a total copy of Portal's credit songs)

If they are talking about a more cohesive story arch, then I wonder what that will mean for side missions.

Yeah, it was always:
"Oh, I found a medal that belongs to some salarian group! Interesting. I wonder if there are more in this system."
Meanwhile, at the Citadel.
