I think they should pull a fast one on us and show the Council suspected there was words of Truth they took from Shepard and they were doing something during Shepard's 2 years of absences. It would be nice to have some shock value coming from the Council instead of the BS we seen in the first two games lol.

I was just thinking tht.

I wouldn't know what to do, I'd have to take back everything I ever said.

Except that's not logically possible at all. Literally everyone would know. Not only does it not make sense to lie to Shepard, for any reason, but seeing as how no one can keep a secret in the ME universe....

Also, doing anything without telling Shepard is not doing enough.

It's like being warned and shown proof that a serial killer is coming to kill you and your family and all you do is turn your porch light on as a deterrent.

I'd imagine that the trial will include a resume of Shepard's past actions to add to the list of accusations, like how Miranda and Jacob asked all those questions about Virmire and the Council in ME2.

Or being told a race of sentient starships are hellbent on eradicating all life in the galaxy as part of some crazy cycle and twiddling your thumbs as a deterrent.

Only serves to prove your point all the more in a way, I know, but I still couldn't resist.

Anyone know if we can have proper conversations like in Mass Effect and points of interest for each character (the purple bar in the Citadel for example) and not the rubbish one where a certain object has interest for each character?

And will there be another Zaeed and Kasumi? I hated that, be great if they had both, can have proper dialogue and little interest points aroung the room.

Cris Norman says each heavy weapon will have more personality... what exactly does that mean? Will they all be equally effective or will it be Cain and Arcy vs. the world?

Nice to see that they're doing something about it, at least.

It may be that the council is indoctrinated. They accepted that Sovereign was a Reaper at the end of the first game, but whether a writing error or a screw up, they didn't in the second game.

See i havent beat the 1st game since it first came out lol so i didnt remember they accepted it or not at the end. But your point only proves that in the second they choose to hide something from Shepard because he was working with Cerberus. So seems like what i said originally might not be too far off here

I dont think the Council has ever made a decision that totally made sense to us

The Council will obviously say they actually believed Shep, which they might have if they weren't such ignorant douchebags. But sadly, they are.

I hope there's going to be a Renegade interrupt to hit the Turian Councilor with a backhand or normal **** slap.

So we're stuck carrying a heavy weapon again? Laaame! Oh well.

i completely agree.
i hated heavy weapons, EXTREMELY situational. barely ever used. looked horrible ony our back all the time. takes so long to pull out that you were probably better off using something else.

all around horrible.
heavy weapons ftl. hopefully we dont ahve to carry them around all the time. i HATED it. always used the flamethrower since it was the smallest.

Finally another person. All my friends loved the heavy weapons, and I hated them. Never used the cain, or any heavy weapons except the flamethrower, cause like you said, it was the smallest and least noticable. My soldier looks like he's carrying around a dinner plate on his back because of all the guns. I would have preffered not having heavy weapons at all, just give my soldier an SMG to place on the other hip.

I only ever used grenade launcher and sometimes ark launcher as they looked alright on Shep's back...cain was use like 3 times on the game:

Horizon
Collector Ship
Collector base

I would prefer something like a grenade launcher attachment to my assault rifle then a grenade launcher, but I digress.

not saying there wont be or anything but there isn't a single BW response in the thread you linked to. just someone saying they wanted Carnage back.

 The multiple evolved choices
has really allowed for you to build your character and squad the way you
want them to play.  I really liked Carnage as well.  Eric did not want
to add in a whole new power for it but the solution he came up with is
even better.  The entire game play team has really amazed me on this
project.  The jump in quality for combat overall is pretty
substantial.

I  miss the ME1 grenades too.  Plus, they sort of doubled as a mine of sorts.  I  could go for some sort of Claymore or "Bouncing Betty" type of mine in ME3.

Sounds like there will be more variation to the heavy weapons this time around.

I want a deployable gatling gun.

The engineer class is supposed to have some sort of deployable turret.  IIRC it's more of a distraction feature than a battlefield cleansing weapon of doom but I hope it works out especially since the engineer is my favoirite class and though I  liked the combat drone it didn't seem unique enough as Legion and Tali have the same thing.

I hope they do give us a gatling gun. I'll run into fights yelling "CRY SUM MOAR!!!" irl.

And yay Carnage! That ability was hawt.
