Well if someone had the intention to provide non-constructive criticism, they would have found the sources anyway, but no I am not really going to keep tabs.

The only trouble you're facing, Phaedon, is the fact that you're going to have to expose yourself to as many spoilers as possible. Unless, of course, that's something you're totally fine with. XD

Oh, I am pretty much OK with this. I'll propably abandon ship during the last week to avoid major spoilers, though.

The sacrificial lamb, eh?

I mean, do spoilers count as confirmed features?  Are these the sorts of things that people are looking for when they check in with this thread? I would think not.

I'd be suprised if you had added, "Shephard kills the reapers by piloting a small fighter craft and launching a tropedo at an unprotected exhaust port,"  whether or not you learned it to be true.

I'll be following ME3's news anyway, not really a sacrifice. But yeah, there are already some spoilers on the OP, 'ME3 will feature London' etc. and more will be added as more information is released.

I need to add a spoiler warning...

No you don't man.

"Information that BioWare releases for Mass Effect 3 is not considered a spoiler for the General Discussion forum at this time. "

if you mean 'confirm', you are not supposed to post 'rumors'. rumors are just prediction. so you are wrong. plus, this is too early to talk about ME 3. we have still year long. so if this thread would be more functional, it could be like 4-5 month before releasing ME 3.

Maybe , but I think this month we might see a little more ME3 news.

Everything listed on the OP are features. There is 80-100% certainty that Confirmed Features will end up being in the game, 50-80% for Promises, and 1-50% for Popular Rumours. Note how there is already a ton of features, so frankly, I don't see the 'it's too early' point. New features are released every day, features that would be lost if their source was twitter, facebook or any other site.

This thread is one of the alternatives you have. It lists every single feature around in a scale of chance of being  in ME3. The other one is this which links you to important articles and let's you draw your own conclusions and the other is the wiki, which has a more conservative policy, listing only promises and confirmed features, but is in my opinion missing a few things. All three are valid.

I think a multiplayer feature might be kind of fun, as long as the control set remains the same. Would be fun to play as different characters and just blast away :) I don't even worry about this kind of addition affecting the single player side of it; it's a Bioware game after all.

I'm sure there's a post about this elsewhere (which I can't find), but I'm going to ask anyway: Will I be able to choose a new class in ME3 if I import a save from ME2? I know this was possible between ME1 and ME2, but I'd like it confirmed before I start my pre-ME3 playthrough.

Well, it hasn't been confirmed, but I'd bet on it. You can change your class with a save editor too, so you might want to do that after finishing the final ME2 mission.

Saying that the game will feature London confirmed based on the trailer is kind of iffy. I mean, the Reaper invasion is happening all over the Earth and it never showed Shepard landing in London. Bioware may have just picked a city on Earth to represent the destruction so I would almost wait on saying London is a place we will go in ME3.

Looking at the presedence of the trailers generally taking place in either real locations in game, or non-specific locations means that I feel like it will be in the game, given how strongly it is specified.  Bioware doesn't have a history of putting random stuff in the trailers to make them look cool.

Two other Supporting Details:
1). The theory that Big Ben will join the squad
He's clearly a British soldier fighting in London, adds more weight to the 'Will Feature London,' line.
2). The fact that only Europe is burning in the cinematic
It looks like ground zero for the terrestrial invasion of the reapers.

I don't know... maybe move it to rumors if people feel this line of reasoning is too shaky.  I guess it hasn't been confirmed anywhere.  And those two points don't shake the assertion that it's only based on the cinematic.

There's also a rumor going around stating that "Big Ben" is just a random soldier used in the trailer.

We also have no idea if only Europe is burning. The shot of Shepard looking at Earth is extremely vague without any distinguishable geographical features.

I think I might be able to make out Italy but all I'm saying is that it should maybe be treated as rumor or a possibility rather than confirmation unless we have word from Bioware, a gameplay video, or a CG trailer of Shepard actually in London.

I have to agree with this right here. I don't think BioWare has ever showed a location in their CGI trailers that never actually made into the final game. The only difference is how the location in question looks in the trailer, but that goes without saying since CGI and in-game are two very different things.

My suggestion to Phaedon is to keep things as is for the time being. It's inevitable that we will get more and more details in the next few months anyway.

Right, Horizon looked fairly different in the trailer then it did in practice.  But it was still featured.

I'll vote twice if you like.

"ME3 will have a multiplayer component."

God, I hope that is not true. It's in the rumours section for a reason, right? It hasn't been confirmed? The use of the word 'will' troubles me so...

Hey guys and girls, i am new to the forum but an avid fan of the Mass Effect series and i really can not wait for ME3, i'm glad i've joined a forum where i can discuss things about the best sci-fi game of all time! :)

The end of ME2 seeing the Reapers heading towards the galaxy and then the ME3 trailer featuring a burning London has got me very excited. Personally i hope ME3 is more focused to how it was in ME1 (Vehicle exploration + more rpg elements) of course coupled with whatever new features Bioware will pump into ME3. It will be epic :)

Do the developers do a podcast? I haven't seen any mention about it thus far on the forums, but I figured I'd ask anyway. I know the Madden developers are doing a podcast this year and while they don't disclose anything major for the most part, it's still nice to hear that they're throwing the fan base a bone.

I'd bet on London featuring in the game. Richard Armitage appears to be the voice of the soldier in the trailer. He's a big name, so i doubt it's just a throwaway character in a throwaway situation.

Someone pointed out in the thermal clip thread that Big Ben ejects a thermal clip from his sniper rifle before firing.

Should the return of thermal clips be added to the rumors section?

I think it might be a good idea to make the London thing a rumor. I don't beleive London was the worst hit, seeing as the soldier stated there was widespread destruction of equal caliber.

Definitely not confirmed.

They technically have made a few podcasts, but anything that could count as a devblog hasn't been done since the 'PS3 is the definitive version' and last year.

Dunno, the guys behind the teaser aren't supposed to know anything about game mechanics.

I need a few more votes, btw. Do you think that 'London will be featured' counts as a confirmed feature?
