Mass Effect 3 Confirmed Features Thread (Updated 14th June) - Farewell, old thread

I see, thanks for the tip. I am hoping to find time to do that in a few days.
However, if it is a matter of Bioware wanting to "take things back", then that's not cool with me. I like Bioware a lot of as a game making company and all of it's staff I have interacted with are very polite, but I don't think that we, as a thread should be endorsing that.
Changes are understandable, and I'll be happy enough to change anything when Bioware announces that they "will go with x, forget y", but keeping consumers on the dark about changes on features that were actually confirmed at some point, doesn't seem like a good thing.
I may be terribly wrong of course, and I'd be glad to be shown where I am.

New info about a specific subject that overlaps with older info means that we'll be updating our information here, accordingly. Anyway, hopefully we'll manage to sort things out with Mr. Priestly in the next few days.

I wonder if I can shoot down those Kodiaks before they drop off any enemies.

If you can that would be great.
I doubt it.

That Mattock is really low on Garrus' back. He's gunna need a hell of a lot of reach in order to get it.pensa wrote...

How is regenerating shields breaking lore? Just wondering because in pretty much every science fiction story that contain shields, they regenerate (ie Star Wars and Star Trek are just examples) with the use of some device that creates the shield in the first place. Hence the term shield generator.
Because they still require a power source to be operational. A power source that is drained when the shield is deflecting/absorbing incoming fire.
That's how they work in the books. And really, the shield isn't made to take dozens and dozens of bullets. It's more made to buy the wearer time to take cover.
Are you referring to the Mass Effect books? Honestly, I haven't read any of them, all of the facts or conclusions that I draw are from what I've read and heard in the game. I always thought a shield generator is a device connected to a power generating source, such as a micro fusion reactor (best example I can think of is like the nuclear fusion batteries in Terminators). So as long as the generator is plugged into the generator, and the generator is functioning properly, the generator will continue to produce an energy shield, protecting the occupant from projectiles. Although, in ME1, impact weapons that cause concussive damage, like missiles or heavy plasma blasts from Geth Colossi cause shield damage and direct damage to health. Obviously though shields have a regeneration rate, if the shield is taking way more damage than the regeneration rate the shield will eventually fail, and you would have to find cover until it partially or fully regenerates; unless you have shields like the Borg in Star Trek: TNG.

I'm not sure whether I'm looking forward to Monday or not at this point, once those gameplay vids hit the wait is going to be beyond unbearable. Not watching them just isn't an option either!
Also, lol at the Krogan Princess thing. Seeing as the Mario references are coming thick and fast I will add that I fully expect various Disney spoofs by this time next week.

well i know you go to the salarian homeworld, and salarian women have higher social status so im guessing theres a bunch of salarian women there.Welsh Inferno wrote...
(Not reading IGN thing) Krogan Princess? Female Krogans?! Did they reveal any other females for the races?
also we go to the turian homeworld as well, so im guessing we see some women there. i mean its understandable to see mostly male turians as a majority of them are soldiers and C-sec agents but on the homeworld we should see a good amount.
