Thanks for the feedback. I am not really, offended, rather annoyed, I have no issues with Chris or anyone on Bioware.

Concerning the journalist part, maybe I should suggest having them in another section if that's a problem?

This thread and the collective work to support it has greatly helped the whole forum, and is an invaluable resource, so as far as I'm concerned, once the ME3 boards are up, I'll migrate this thread there and keep it stickied, provided Mr. P doesn't swack me on the head .

And yeah, I think it's important to filter what are exact developer quotes and what are journalist quotes. Devs always choose their wording, because they're under contracts. Journalists are under far less strict contracts, and being journalists, sensational news always garners more readers.

This confirmed features thread is one of the best and most useful in this forum. Without it being stickied you'll get many people posting threads about what they heard or whether or not certain things will be confirmed. Having it unstickied doesn't seem logical.

I support this thread to be sticky too, most of the time i only come on the forums to check this thread. I got tired of the crazy ME2 theories that were popping up in the Spoiler section of ME2 forums lol.

Now back to that Krogan Princess, she better be wearing Peaches pink dress with her skull bone thing on the head being colored like a Tiara . I assume all Krogans share that trait. And in E3 the devs reveal the Female Turian, well one can hope lol.

Your thread is great, and you are welcome to continue it now and after we open ME3 specific forums. However, we will not be stickying it in either location as it adds too much of a level of Dev team certification. If it is popular, it will remain on the main page and, when you or whomever updates it, it will move back to the top.

With all due respect, it's not marketing's choice to inform the consumer of changes as major as this. it's their responsibility to do it. Yes, we have been blocked for being stickied in any forums. And sadly, from the looks of it, it's not about what we did wrong, but what we did right.

In short, yep. Something they thought they had in the bag just isn't working anymore and had to be cut, because trying to keep it included it would mean the the inability to add other required or higher weighted features, or the potential of a long delay which they can't afford (or no longer have.)

That's the joy of software development.

No, anything confirmed is confirmed.


Marketing just doesn't think that it's necessary to consumers of major changes in the final product. You can ignore me if you wish, but 95% of the features here came at a stage of development, and by staff that means that they will most likely be there. I don't want to be involved in "politics", I just play the Mass Effects to have fun.

In any case, our new status means that we will very easily end up on the bottom of the page, which is rather counter-productive to one of the main targets of the thread, to inform people. If you could use the following signatures, I would be grateful.
