Don't suppose we could get a skinnier, height 19 pixels one? That would fit with other banners better.
Yeah.
I'm trying to have ManShep sig visible as well.

I can see Mr. Priestly's point for sure -- and indeed, it's what I'd figured -- but I also see yours, Phaedon. When I get home from work later I'll sport a banner to help support the thread.

I get it too but I would think a disclaimer on the OP might rectify that a bit and I never saw the old "What we know" thread in the DA2 forum being used as a "bad" thing. It certainly lasted longer as a sticky through the development period than this thread. All one needs to do is remind newcomers that information is mostly set in stone but anything can change before release. But I think Phaedon and the people who provide him information go to great pains to find multiple sources and we can be fairly sure that the information here is as accurate as it can get.
If things were left up to marketting alone, a whole lot of players would be in the dark for these long nine months or so and that's definitely not a good or helpful way to approach information sharing.

I understand that you are just doing your job, Mr. Priestly, but with all due respect, it is not Marketing's choice to announce major changes to the final product, it's their responsibility. And not based on an unwritten moral code between the game developer and the gamer, but on established consumer rights.
I understand that my PM will change nothing concerning the status of the thread, but if it helps a little bit into changing that marketing policy in the future, then it's worth it. I do not wish to cause any further trouble towards Bioware and/or EA, and I appreciate the fact that you did not lock the thread as others could have done, but please allow me to express my deepest and utter disappointment.
Thank you for your time.

No sticky is a shame after all Phaedon's hard work (and cheers, it's hugely appreciated) - i'm sure people will do their best to keep the thread bumped up to the top of page one though, where it belongs.
Indeed -- especially with the banners, I'd venture to say this thread is in good hands for a long while coming. It won't go 'til it's no longer needed.

I think people understand that things will change during development. But whether or not this thread is stickied, people will still be angies when it turns out X doesn't happen. It's not like they're going to just forget about whatever X feature is when this page falls off the front. It seems to me the amount of good the thread does outweighs the negative.

@Phaedon Is there a possibility you could reduce the size a little more so it fits next to my Sheploo sig?

So, basically, something listed in this thread as 'confirmed' is no longer in the game?
Maybe or maybe not.
We have to remember that ME3 is in "development". Anything added to the game from now to launch is subject to change or even the possibility of being removed. Feature X might get cut as a result relating to budget or time, or Feature Y might be replaced with Feature U in response to fan criticism as an example.
A gaming magazine might quote a dev(developer) talking about a feature now. Three months later a follow up question from a another magazine might reveal how they've had to cut said feature. Another thing is the possibility is that not everyone might read this thread regularly. A fan may believe a feature since "confirmed" in this thread will happen and then goes off on a media blackout. Come ME3 launch and fan becomes...lets say disappointed at the absence of the feature or even a change that the fan may not like. He then rages on the forums and other outlets about Bioware/EA/marketing.
Not that I dont approve of this thread (great work everyone!!!) reading all of it gets me so pumped up for ME3. It's just that it is good to remember Chris' post from time to time
Edit: Wow

This thred isn't stickied any more because, after 200+ pages, not all teh[sic] info contained as "confirmed" is actually correct. There will be LOTS of actual confirmations coming out of E3 next week.
There will be Mass Effect 3 forums as well eventually.
A thread of 200+ pages has some imperfections, therefore only official sources are to be believed?
