One quick question (didn't read anything related in page 1).

On import, will the class be kept from me2 or there will be another lorelol so we can change the class again for me3?

Thanks

I think the only reason why uit happend in ME2 was because they "rebuilt" Shepherd, so I doubt it'll be 2nd time aground.

They must let the player change the import class in ME3. It'd be tedious as hell to change it otherwise.

Dunno if anyone mentioned this, but female Krogan is confirmed. It'll be interesting to see what they look like, although I still keep my fingers crossed for female Turians.

Well, since they decided to go through with the female krogan, I am sure that we'll see female turians and salarians now too.

Nice title, Phaedon. I don't know why Cerberus let her cloak on the Normandy. Think of the horrors she could get up to...

She's probably just watching Jacob when he does his exercise.

They've said that they're having problems with the turian females' design, though.

Which is baffling to me, if they've created something that passes for a krogan female.

Is Kasumi going to be in the game at all? I hope she is, she was really cool in ME2.

Yeah..but despite Shepard being rebuilt, he was supposed to be as close as possible to what he was before dying. Yet the game let you change your class. So I wonder if they will let you do it again (maybe Shepard has a trauma in jail in earth that let him change his class lol).

ME3 was fully playable during Christmas (Possible 'Hardening' development stage? (4/5)

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what that means.  Especially hardening.

If you don't import a save game a 'Previously on Mass Effect' comic will allow you to make major decisions.

Probably better than ME 2, where all of the worst and most "evil" decisions possible were made for you.

Directed energy weapons are around, one of them
is a laser gun. They, may however, not be shipped because they are too
expensive, performance-wise.

Shipped?  I assume you mean that you'll have to go out and buy them or pick them up off the ground.  Or do you mean they'll be DLC?

Improved technolodgy allows for longer hairstyles.

Hellz yeah!  I'm always for longer hair.  I'm not going to quote and respond to every individual thing because that would be stupid, but...

After everything that I've heard about Mass Effect 3 so far, I anticipate a 10 out of 10 game.  I gave KotOR a 10 out of 10 even though it didn't have "real" Jedi robes or long hair it, so I think ME 3 will definitely be a 10 for me.  My only fear, albeit a small one, is that I'll hype this game in my head so much that nothing will be able to reach the hype.

so if you spent time collecting those model ships like i did it wasnt for nothing!!

"The question is where are they?"

Let me guess: Kasumi stole them

If Mass Effect 3 truly is an RPG, they'll all be in the big chest at the end of the hallway either just before you reach The Normandy, or in the cell block you were being held in for the trial. :P

I hope the model ships aren't going to be in Miranda's office because the SR-2 is in the VS' custody and Shepard has been kicked out of the captain's quarters. :(

Earlier in this topic, I was extremely confused by the "VS" acronym (not meaning versus, apparently). Using context clues, I finally figured it out: Vermire Survivor. Ugh, I hate all of these abbreviations.

XD I too had this problem when I came to the forums. It's one of those things people learn to adjust to like "lol" "rofl" "wtf" "brb" and "=]"

That last one was especially difficult when before smileys were created =]

why are they still using thermal clips, when i saw them in m.e.2 all i thought was wow did weapon technology take a huge step back since they went from over heating and having a cool down to a have clips that could support the smallest amount of ammo ever plus thats like call of duty.

Lore wise, anyone with a Thermal clip gun would be able to wait for their clip to cool down and then continue to use it. It would make sense if you needed to get more shots off in a smaller unit of time to overheat the clip as fast as possible and then switch to another instead of waiting longer between shots or waiting for the clip to cool from overheating.

That way, the most cutting-edge gun technology could push the thermal clips to the limits of heat-efficiency to projectile propulsion, for the most damaging impacts possible to counteract constant furthering development breakthroughs in shield technology, and now newer personal biotic barrier technology. If you waited any longer, were more patient and measured with the clip you had- you wouldn't be doing enough damage to tear their protection down as it would just repair itself too quickly.

Gameplay wise they originally intended that kind of hybrid system but dropped it because of how clunky it ended up feeling. I'd actually love a system where some guns have just two clips maximum or so, lighter guns could allow you to have more clips on hand, slower guns less.

Then each "clip" would be an overheat bar like ME1. You would overheat the clip, and then cycle it out for one of your fresh and cool clips while waiting to switch back to the one you just overheated later. Picking up enemy clips would "refresh" your clip. You can't carry any more, but you can drop one of the hot ones you have now and pick up an already cool one.

Or I could stop writing my game design fanfiction and let this Bioware team go with what they have time to introduce and polish without possibly altering the flow of gameplay in a negative way.

On the Dragon Age 2 forums, people would tell you not to fix what isn't broken pointing back to Dragon Age: Origins and the acclaim it received, and yet the gameplay of Mass Effect 2 was fairly acclaimed. But here when discussing Mass Effect 3, things can and should be changed just because?

Cant they just use the one from the ME Comics or do they not want too many races where the females are hard to till from the males?

Hardening is the 4th out of the 5 stages in Bioware's new development process, GDC '09 shows examples.

At this point, they may not even be DLC. They are too expensive, performance-wise, so they may be cut.

Hi,

Long time lurker - first time poster - wait..no...maybe third...can't remember.

This performance wise - is that in regard to FPS hit - or performance wise in game difficulty?  Because if computational performance wise - stuff it - put it in anyway! Let those with the power HAVE the power

Otherwise make it an optional DLC like the High Res Texture Patch.
