6-12??? How long did they say Thane had again?JeffZero wrote...
I'm still soaking in Jesse Houston's statement that ME3 is set '6-12 months' after ME2. I thought it was just 'a couple of months' according to the developers for the longest time?
Oh boy. Something in the ballpark of a year, wasn't it? I'm only on my second playthrough of the series right now and I haven't gotten Thane yet (I know, I'm 'younger' with the games than I typically act like) but I think it was about a year.
Oh boy indeed.

Just wondering, anyone care to hazard a guess as to what that big space station/weapon looking thing may be floating in the middle of what appears to be the Normandys new CIC?
Isn't that the Migrant Fleet's flagship? Looks like it to me.

In the demo with Jesse we got to see the power wheel:

We can see that Liara has all three of the abilities, but if you look at the new mysterious power Lift Orb you can see that it has a big number on it 3, just like the Frag Grenade 4, and Unity 0.
First of all we can say that Shepard's grenades will be ammo based and restricted; from there we can speculate that because the Soldier class has a specific power for the grenade that each class has a special version of a grenade-like power, or a specific evolution to the simple grenade.
Liara is a biotic so it's possible that biotic classes or at least the Adept would have Lift Orb as its grenade power, if my guessing is anywhere near the mark.
The other thing that comes to mind is that Garrus has a similar new ability called Proximity Mine; if you look at the powers wheel however you can see that there is no number attached to it.
What do you make of this? ammo restricted powers for squadmates? different versions of grenades for each class?

Hot damn, Geth use Omni-blade too!
Disconfirmed moments ago in this thread:

And for people that understand that, that's not a problem... I just don't like having work out there that isn't necessarily reflective of the level of quality that we would normally strive for.
Especially with no disclaimers or anything.
So...just to clarify, none of those geth are done. They have a different melee... and... they're missing some stuff in that sequence. Additionally, I believe the Sentinel abilities demonstrated there are
also still being iterated on... [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/happy.png[/smilie]
I wouldn't consider anything from that particular video 100% confirmed.
Even though it is 100% awesome.

How'd you lose your sticky when your thread is in THREE LANGUAGES? When did that happen?

Also, I should probably translate this into a fourth languange, but I won't update it very often.

It's interesting because people complain that they don't want spoilers in the trailers.
Then other people spend hours dissecting the released content to discover some hidden spoiler somewhere.

There is that, I think I meant more am amazed that people can differentiate between hem, shows a certain kind of commitment
Though personally the thing I have been happiest to see so far are the menu screens, especially the bit which shows you can put points into increasing influence (not just combat)
My diplomatic-but-not-100%-Paragon Adept will enjoy this

STORY SPOILER – TRUE OR FALSE – The Geth are working with the Reapers.
01:10 – True at some point, but not necessarily true throughout: “Geth are working with the Reapers at this point.” Also, at 02:32, Legion shows up and saves Shep, Garrus and Liara’s bacon.
01:20 – It’s the Quarian fleet in orbit in the attack on the Geth base where the Reaper is in the Geth base. It’s the scene where the Normandy does the airstrike.
02:57 – NOT CONFIRMED. NEEDS VERIFICATION. Squadmates appear to have Omni-blades too. It’s not visible, but Garrus incapacitates a fresh Cerberus attacker from behind with one blow and Liara follows up with a close range killshot.
GAMEPLAY – 07:15 – “The pause and play aspects are still there,” despite the great emphasis on more fluid gameplay.
STORY SPOILER – 21:30 – “At that point, the Reapers have basically wiped out the entire Alliance Navy.” So much for humanity leading the counterattack.
23:08 – “The Reapers are definitely not ignoring the other worlds. Earth happens to be kind of, if you look on the galaxy map, more on the Southern side of the galaxy. So they (Reapers) arrive on the Batarian sectors and just start moving north if you kind of look at it from a compass perspective they start moving up from the top. And our story basically takes place right as they are kind of arriving at Earth, which doesn’t take very long.”
24:14 – “Yes, Miranda will be back.” So will Kasumi and Zaeed.
25:53 – Inventory System – “We did definitely hear what people were asking for with the inventory system, so we have an expanded inventory, if you will, the weapon pods being such a major aspect of the inventory from Mass Effect 1will be – as you saw, we’ll have weapon mods. We’ll have armor customization.”
26:24 – “There is definitely a very large economy.”
