It's a stretch to call the above quote a hint...no?  I read it as a classic "soz, can't say anything" dodge.

His reply could be translated as:
"My favourite Garrus moment does not take place in vanilla ME1 or ME2"

It could also be interpreted as "ME3 is a huge chunk of the story, but I'm not in it."  I don't care to speculate based on zero actual information.

Therefore, he wants Garrus to be remembered about a part of the story that we haven't seen yet. And I doubt that this awesomesauce moment is a cameo appearance.

New features are tagged as 'new' and the latest update has it's own little section.

i hope they do announce the first mass effect 3 details at GDC. 2 weeks left!
