As I said in another thread, there is Game Expo in Slovakia on 18th - 20th March where Mass Effect 3 will have playable presentation. And I doubt that world premiere would be here in my country.

So if there isnt any big conferention or something until this Game Expo, we will see first gameplay on GDC in upcoming hours or days

PAX East, March 11th to 13th,  should be were gameplay is shown before the Game Expo in Slovakia.

GDC isn't a public convention, it's about game developers talking to other game developers on specific subjects through lectures.

Why would they have the trophies ready if they weren't going to release it until after E3? It will be released soon and hopefully it will be annouced during the week.

Why would they not announce it in GDC anyway? They had a hands-on demo of ME2 in a GDC after all.

No they didn't; they had clips demonstrating various stages of level development. It was basically a seminar by Bioware on how they had structured development; to improve efficiency, they made sure that each level was playable at an early stage so that the designers could have an easier time optimizing. From there, each level went through several stages of development; from basic layouts to fully realized levels, including models, textures and voice acting.

The video they showed wasn't supposed to promote the game; it was meant to show other developers how Bioware was approaching ME2.

I missed some of the awards. Which games won what? I only managed to catch ME2 winning Best Writing.

From what I remember, Minecraft and Red Dead Redemption got the most wins--RDR got things like technical awards and best sound design (plus Best Game of the Year), while Minecraft won awards like "best debut", "most innovative" and "best downloadable game." Limbo won best visual art, which pleased me. In the indie awards, Amnesia: The Dark Descent got the most awards, although Minecraft still won best independent game and the viewer's choice.

I think the only thing Mass Effect 2 won is Best Writing, which you saw. (As an aside, overall I was pretty pleased with the nominations and winners...better than what'd you see at Spike's awards by far. I'm going to have to check them out next year, too.)

I just noticed on GameTrailer.com that there have been alot of "new" videos from GDC 2011. New Battlefield 3, Prototype 2 and some others as well. Maybe we get to see some stuff from ME as well.

Yeah, there's still two days left for the show to end. Maybe BioWare is saving the best for last, as they usually do.
