Not really, I remember an interview with Casey Hudson right before ME2 came out where he said they just started planning and discussing ME3.Phaedon wrote...
ME2 was developed in 2 years, and so is ME3, considering that development started months before ME2 was released.
ME3 has the shortest development time in the series (no doubt EA is rushing it a bit to cash in just like for DA). There's still hope for it though...
A new KOTOR !? Or is it a new MGS ?Phaedon wrote...
Well, she didn't say that she will be back, she said that she is going to voice act for the "Best franchise ever"

Nope, there are multiple interviews that state that ME3 will follow the same development window for ME2.
Also, 'discussing and planning' is what game design means. It happens throughout the development process.

You see that's where you're wrong. Mass Effect was imagined from the ground up as a trilogy and most ME2 things were done with ME3 in mind including LM and SM. Also everybody is ignoring what the Bioware itself is saying. I can find a quote of Brenon where he says that when you're doing something for long you get better at it and it takes less time.

First of all ME and DA teams are not the same. Second ME is longer in terms of franchise than DA. Third DA team's lead designer had his role changed for DA 2 due to some conflicts of where the series should go. And this team knows what they're doing and what they want. Look if you don't want to have faith in them that's fine and you have a right on your opinion. But Casey Hudson is "the Man" behind KOTOR, ME1 and ME2 so excuse me if I'm ready to take a leap of faith here. I'm quite frankly tired of the same comments here.

Maybe because:Razagon wrote...
Also everybody is ignoring what the Bioware itself is saying
NwN - BioWare: "A game that will surpass BG in every way!"
Jade Empire - BioWare: "It will be a very long game with a HUGE world!"
ME1 - BioWare: "ME1 will have a customizable Mako, an interrupt system, destructible environment and every single planet will be big as Morrowind and long as a KOTOR world! You'll also be able to leave your armor covered with blood or shine it! You can take control of your party members (like in DA) and every weapon will have visual upgrades!"
ME2 - BioWare: "Your ME1 choices will have HUGE consequences in the sequel and thousands of choices carry over!"
DA2 - ... well that was recent, so you've seen the crap yourself

If you people are sure that ME3 will suck there is a simple solution for that; don't buy it, don't even play it, don't watch the reviews just forget it exists.

I never said that. KOTOR is IMO best RPG ever and ME2 and DAO easily are GOTY for their respective year. Check out my sig.Razagon wrote...
Ok, so you think Bioware isn't good developer
I never said that either. And who's you people? If you people are sure that ME3 will suck
You need to realize the forums aren't contained solely of boot-licking fanboys and arrogant haters. There's people with actual opinions on different things.
We were discussing different things, mainly BioWare's crap marketing and empty promises, not the quality of their games. But of course, after DA2 you have to question EA's policy of small budgets and rushing games just to make a quick buck.

And the DA2 devs are the same guys that made BG2 (considered by many the greatest game ever) and DAO (a game with a 5-6 year dev cycle and huge budget, but that was before EA)Razagon wrote...
I just told you Casey is the one who directed KOTOR, ME! and ME2. Considering your sig what is there to argue?
Casey may make some of the descisions, but the budget and timeline come from EA, and that's the biggest factor in any development
