Don't buy into hype, or you will open yourself to disappointment.

Still. Mass Effect 3 sounds like it is going to be a blast.

What I'm saying is don't build up absurd expectations for something.

Can I get linked to a forum that is up for ideas for ME3? Don't want to spam this page as I don't think this is the right place. Thanks.

What about custom color for pause menu? Like it's white by default but if you're paragon it slowly turns blue, and if you're renegade it slowly turns red?

thats a cool idea, the screen we saw of the pause menu could even be a implementation of that, but I don't think so and actually I hope not. In general my hope for ME3 is that they really downplay the whole Paragon/Renegade concept, I would be very happy if there where no point ans meters for it at all. Instead you have the same setup on your dialogue wheel, bottom right is the rengade dialogue and top right is the paragon dialogue, middle if offered is neutral (or a less intense Paragon/Renegade dialogue), and you bring back the independent charm and intimidate skills from ME1. Id also like to have the interrupts of ME2 but with the option for either paragon or rengade interrupts for most situations and you can choose. What this is all meant to add up to is a sytem that allows for and encourages complex Shepards and more thoughtful decision making but while maintaining the simplicity in the dialogue and interrupt systems. I think this is important for ME3 assuming you'll have to make many tough decisions and having to think about how it affects a meter and the ability to make certain decisions in the future based on that meter is an annoyance that takes away from the weight of your decision making.

It is
obvious that we care a lot about ME.

And that we
want game to be at its best.

Games cannot
simply be fixed after they are released. You can’t chase a bullet. No one will
be able to walk in and fix camera angles of sounds in most important scenes. To
deliver maximum impact developers need time.

I don’t think that voice acting or scenario
will be a major problem.  Imp sure most
of it is finished by now…

But what
about rest of the content? Can ME3 have the biggest impact imaginable on us if
it is underdeveloped because someone from EA wants to load pockets with cash?
Game is guaranteed to be pre-purchased and bought after official release. I don’t
even consider downloading ME3 from some pirate site. How can I disrespect that priceless
piece of art?

People will
buy that is assured by previous success.  And no matter what other companies do they can’t
match ME in any aspect except combat. Once you tasted ME you cannot go back to
primitive shooters where only fear and anger dominates gaming experience.

I believe I
never said it before but I’m sure someone else did.

Mass effect
opened a door in to a new era of exiting and unrivaled gaming world. Just so it
happens - no one else had enough courage and skill to simply walk through. Do you
remember what happened after wow was released? I think there are very few
people on this planet who haven’t heard about wow. What blizzard did was
exactly what bio ware is doing now.

Sure there were other games but no one ever
created a game so bright and colorful as ME.

ME3 does
not have the right to fail. And it won’t.

P.S

I want ME
to climb on gaming throne and stand there.

What are key aspects we would Love to see in game?
What kind of achievements?
Slightly different gameplay?
What RPG elements preferred?
And events? We are stuck with mini games like scanning)
Will there be vehicles?
Do we need them?
What will new missions be like?
Are there going to be a lot of solo missions like Arrival?

Space combat?
I honestly cant even begin to imagine. What awaits us if we Do get it in full.
Multiplayer?
Is it going to be something different?

I played “almost perfect paragon” in both ME1/2
And they are planning to throw my Shepard in front of jury?
Well I guess they need to verify a few decisive chooses Shepard made in previous games.

But still, a trial?! Isn’t there a better way ? What did I ever do to deserve it?
I feel like killing someone already. Judge will go down first!, prosecutor will follow soon after..
jury and witnesses will vanish in the midle of trial.

Considering that Dr.Pepper items required CN in ME2, there seems to be a good hint that CN  and DLC will be back.

I just told you Casey is the one who directed KOTOR, ME! and ME2. Considering your sig what is there to argue?

And the DA2 devs are the same guys that made BG2 (considered by many the greatest game ever) and DAO (a game with a 5-6 year dev cycle and huge budget, but that was before EA)

Casey may make some of the descisions, but the budget and timeline come from EA, and that's the biggest factor in any development

Eh, why are we still discussing this?
It has already been confirmed numerous times that the development window will be 2 years just like Mass Effect 2.

Until ME3 is completed, phaedon, people will continually come in and out of here complaining about development time. It's an inevitable part of the human psyche to complain about something without concrete knowledge to back it up.
