Do we know yet if they are making a change to how the global cooldown worked? Fewer abilities wouldn't be so bad if you could actually use them. I'm hoping the game won't be designed for single ability spam again is all.

I mean, take a look at the very early videos of ME1. These are GBs of content that didn't make it to the final game.

Those videos made ME1 look 100x better than the final product.  Really back in '06 those graphics almost rivaled today's.

Not really... that jungle place looks cool and all, but characters looked stupid, except Garrus, and the battles look lagging. Glad they improved them.

But that's because they weren't polished. Therum was a replacement for Calaston (sp?) it was supposed be apart of the main plot. The galaxy map also looks way better! And your able to control squad movement on the 360 in the trailers they showed.

And that forest planet looks like an unfinished Ilos to me.

Dear Bioware, I believe you suck REALLY BAD at holding information/spoilers from us.

You said you are going to try and not spoil 90% of the game this time, with all shorts of videos, photos, informations etc etc. Yet every single day I see new information comming out about Mass Effect 3. And there is not even a warning about spoilers. You see when I buy a magazine, or look into a preview in a game site, I dont expect to learn 80% of the locations I am going to visit in Mass Effect 3...

I mean for f..ck sake..... what is the damn point of exploring the world of Mass Effect 3, if before I even load the game for the first time, I already know like 10 locations that I am going to visit. Even more, what is the point for us to know anyway? All you need to do now is tell us the order in which we will visit these places so we can make a pretty accurate draft of how ME3 is going to play out: First you go to earth the you go to xxx place, then you go to yyy place, then you go... etc etc

Already we know exactly how the game starts... Shepard on trial on earth. Reapers attack, Shepard escapes, rebuilds Normandy, Cerberus hunts him down, Shepard goes to unite the races of the galaxy. Basically we have pretty much the entire storyline out there. And I'm just curious... you've spent so much time to build this game's prologue...and you are SPOILERING it?? That sounds pretty retarded to me...

I mean now I know...when I start the game, I am going to see Shepard on trial, on Earth. Then I know Reapers will come...the I know he will escape... THRILLS? ZERO, because I know exactly how this is going to pan out.

Now if I knew nothing...whoa! what a ride would that opening be... the game opens and I am amazed that for the first time in 5 years I AM ON EARTH!! And I'm facing a trial! I'm already busy thinking how I'm going to respond to all this...then suddenly....all HELL brakes loose and Reapers invade!! Well...at that point I'm left speechless...gamepad drops from my hands and I am pretty much blown away.

Now? That I know how everything is going to pan out? I will simply stare at my screen knowing exactly what is going to happen, all that is left to wow me in this amazing prologue (had we not know anything) are the graphics and the direction of the sequences. Meh....

So please Bioware, do ourselves a favor and let us play and experience the damn game without having to know every single detail about it...

And for the people that are going to quickly jump to defend Bioware by saying to me: dont look at the info, I tell you:

a) What happened to the good old spoiler-free damn previews that are coming out every day for most games and

B) Bioware does not warn you at all about spoilers. Even their interviews are full of story spoilers without warning. When I am reading an interview by them, I simply expect not to learn how the story is going to pan out...

Sorry for the rant, but Bioware is simply spoiling WAY too much.

They have to spoil some stuff to make the game sound interesting, otherwise people on this forum would think the lack of story info meant Bioware had forgotten the story and just made an action game.

Also, we don't know why we are at most of these places, we don't know what happens on them, we don't know what choices we have to make  or what twists will be revealed. For example, Cerberus being after us is a minor spoiler - the reason they are after us would be a major spoiler. We only the opening (and we don't even know everything that'll happen there) and some of locations. We know very little about the plot apart from the basic structure, which this forum had pretty much guessed anyway.

Also, I don't want to come across as rude and I do understand the point I'm making, but if you want to avoid even the smallest spoilers don't you think the Mass Effect forums are the worst place to go to? Its where even the tiniest detail will be picked apart and analysed so every spoiler will be here somewhere.

Having said that I hope there aren't many more spoilers. The only info I want know is squadmates (except any new ones, they can be a surprise), weapons, classes, and what has changed on the Normandy.

I remember wathcing those X06 video demos with Casey Hudson narrating loads and loads of times, they got me pretty damn pumped for ME1. I always find it fascinating how much games can change over development. I would love to know why they decided to change certain things and drop certain ideas.
Cheers for the heads  up Steph - now the countdown begins!
And Valk i understand your frustrations - especially when Bioware came out and said they wouldn't spoil as much stuff like they did with ME2 - but i guess at the end of the day it's down to you how much info you read up on. I mean i told myself i wasn't going to look at any information or previews...yet anytime i hear new ME3 info has been released i just can't help but click on the thread/news story  I'm too weak not to! I just hope some stupid mag doesn't casually give away a major spoiler because they aren't big Mass Effect fans and they didn't realise they'd revealved a spoiler.

@ candidate88766

Μy friend I am avoiding the forums here, I did not make this post because I read this thread or any other thread.

I made this post because I read PSM magazine. I wrote this post because I read Bioware's interview in other websites.

These are full, full full of spoilers with no warning whatsoever.

I do expect there to be some threads in here that are full of spoilers. That is acceptable, there is a warning in the title, I avoid it. (still havent read the first post in this thread)

My plea towards Bioware is to protect us (those who want to know little about the games plot and locations) from spoilers. They make an interview? Just dont spoil it, or if you do, warn the readers. You want to make a preview full of spoilers on a magazine? Please say so in the title, or highlight the text, so I know about it, to avoid it. PSM3 had major spoiler in its frigging text title with big letters... how can I avoid looking at that? Αnd when I read that they will not repeat their mistakes with ME3, then the most logic thing to think, is that their interviews and official previews are going to be safe! And they are not even close to being spoiler free... I mean are they doing it on purpose or what?

Right now, practically, there is no way to avoid spoilers... you simply read an interview, and suddenly BAM! They did the same thing with ME2.... adn they spoiled prettyy much the entire game. (trailer anyone? lol)_

Man, ME1 looked great in the demo! Better environments, galaxy map, HUD, powers...the character models and voices aren't as good, but, wow!

My bad, I misunderstood what you were saying. Yes, they should put spoiler warnings on any interviews or videos that have spoilers.

I still think that, apart from the beginnning, they haven't really spoiled anything as major as they did for ME2. We know some locations, but we don't know which parts of the story transpire there, and we know Cerberus is chasing us but we don't know why. For me, the 'whys' are the major spoilers and Bioware doesn't seem to want to reveal those, at least not yet. Most of the information so far has been about the combat and things related to that.

Incidentally, does the PSM magazine reveal anything not in Gameinformer?

I don't think that adding it is a good idea, thoughts?

We should wait for BioWare's word. As it stands, every site has their own release date for ME3. We can't just go ahead and add one of them as the "right" release date, although I do believe that Nov 8th seems most likely.

I liked searching for resources in the Mako.  That was better than scanning planets.  Ugh.

The Mako broke my 360 controler because I had to make it go up mountains at an angle so and with so many replays every game  I play now my character starts to drift to the left

"The Illusive Man is a major antagonist, with Cerberus now hunting Shepard"

Hmmm can't say I am too happy about hearing this. The entire assistance from and  involvement with Cerberus so far and assets that may or may not have been handed over to them in ME2. I'll be okay with it if Shepard has missions to fight Cerberus to get said assets back to use for the war. Otherwise I'll have to reply ME2 and go completely against Cerberus. Just doesn't seem to make sense considering so many decisions made could logically determine Shepards standing with Cerberus at the end of the second installment.

"Quarians are attempting to retake their homeworld "

This could potentialy disrupt decisions made in the Tali and Legion loyalty mission and potential allies for the war.

"Choices from ME1, ME2, as well as DLC will have visible effect in ME3, even if they didn't in ME2"

We saw examples of that in ME2 but nothing outstanding. I really hope most decisions from ME1 and 2 have major impacts in the storyline/ending of ME3.

This final installment in the Trilogy needs to be EPIC. If the focus is saving Earth instead of saving the worlds of all sentient life in the galaxy, I am going to be very dissapointed after following the series since the beginning. The Reapers have been around for countless millenia. Please let it be a Galaxy wide invasion. The game needs to emphasize the desperation of a battle the races are not prepared for. And thinking back through ME1 and 2 regarding the archaeological discoveries and histories how past races attempted to retaliate against the Reaper Invasion, ME3 has a lot to take into account.

In saying all of that though, BioWare has surpassed my expectations so far and the story has been exceptional. Looking forward to the immense crescendo followed by the exemplary and rewarding climax.

Gameinformer site said to check back again today... So I am guessing there won't be anything new untill at least 12 PST (I think thats when the new two screens were released), I am psyched for what ever info they release, I hope its Release Date and Special edition info, since I would like to know how much I need to get for the game, sooner rather then later...

That's why there's a rumors section.

Strikes me as weird they'd put it on the exact same day.
