Ashley/Kaidan is Spectre?

Not sure that I like that idea.

Yeah, it kinda makes it sound like the Council is handing out the Spectre cards left and right, because Ashley/Kaidan are to me far from good Spectre material.

Two Spectres travelling from planet to planet rallying other races to fight the reapers. DA:O, anyone?

My canon is not a Spectre.

Oh and guys, I have been posting things that I wouldn't be able to post here, on Twitter. You may want to check it out.

Really?

Maybe Garrus as a spectre, but the VS? Not horrendously bad, but not sounding great, either.

Also, it's confirmed the human reaper WAS only the core. Which seemed obvious, but still, good to see that confirmed.

Garrus always struck me as far better as a Spectre possibility. He was just out in the Terminus System. No way to get recognition out there by the Council. VS was working for the Council the whole time. They might not be as badass as Garrus but they were a known quantity.

Tali, Jack, and EDI which I didn't really count as a character. Silly me. (select the black text)

Any mentions of other homeworlds we might visit? Like Palaven?

None, there is further mention of the Sheattle/Vancuver mega-city thing, though.

if Im not mistaken the "exclusive screens" in the GI .com ME3 hub are taken on the Salarian homeworld.

Haha, PSM3 showed the picture of the Big Ben Sniper next to the James Sanders portfolio. Might be a small thing, but makes me wonder how well-informed PSM3 guys are.

Also, Ashley is called sexually agressive and xenophobic. What the hell?

Probably, since everyone and their mom have confirmed that the sniper isn't James.

Yeah, Sur'Kesh, but I think that it's not mentioned in the PS3M article.

Never trust gaming press as much as you trust ordinary salt. Most of the articles are opinionated and carry heavy speculation.

You mean the Council didn't consult your opinion when deciding who to make a Spectre? I'm shocked.

We all have opinions about characters. I have opinions about Tali, for instance, that other don't share. That doesn't mean the game has to conform to those opinions. My opinion is that Kaidan would make a great Spectre, though he might have trouble getting his hands dirty the way a Spectre sometimes has to. My opinion is that Ashley would make a less effective Spectre because of her bias in favor of humanity, and a Spectre has to put that aside and operate on behalf of the Council. Of course that opinion is based on 2183 Ashley, I imagine in the time between ME1 and ME3 she could have grown quite a bit as a character and therefore be perfectly appropriate as a Spectre candidate.

Wow. Posted Image

It really look very far. Honestly, congratulations. Who cares about dao ? Let's talk about Mass effect.

Shepard is out in M3, We need another human spectre. And who better than VS for humanity.  But I do not even know if it's true, but it's very consistent.

Look at it from a political viewpoint.

Who has more chances in becoming the next human Spectre than one of Shepard's closest associates? They are probably trying to make them look like her/his successors.

Plus, Ashley and Kaiden are pretty good fighters.

"The colorful cosmic display is a clue to the location of the Illusive Man, which I can't reveal. Not yet." GI article

let the speculations begin...

the obvious TIM location would be in front of some sort of sun. but that won't be much of a hint would it?

now I'm going to say something a little off, and probably wrong, but if you look closely at the star behind TIM it seems as though some locations are brighter, and (in my opinion) if you look at these brighter locations as continents than the star seems a lot like Earth. I know its stupid but I can swear the "continent" at the bottom right looks like Africa. I am probably wrong. really wrong.

another thing to think about is the colors of the star. they usually are a combination of red green blue and black. why? just for the looks? maybe not. another thing is that the star can become completely blue if you destroy the collector base. is this also something to consider? I doubt it.

According to Retribution, TIM changes the star that his base orbits around frequently.

Many have speculated that the Virmire Survivor was going to become a Spectre long before ME3 was announced ;-)

True enough, but other than Garrus, there are no other squadmates that could become Spectres.

By the way, Phaedon, I just read my PS3M copy and it says that Jack has been confirmed to have been redesigned from her original appearance.

Quote: "Jack's redesigned, Art Director Derek Watts: 'The idea is that she matured, maybe softened up a bit. You can only stay punk rock for so long, you know?'"

I thought it might be interesting for Jack fans and you might want to put it on the OP.

Apparently punk rock became too mainstream.

London is going to be nice to see considering we saw it from the trailer and it's not been featured in every single game. Unlike New York, which has been done to death in video games and movies. I'd rather see somewhere in Africa or Asia, maybe India or China or something like that. New York... well... whatever. Meh ¬.¬
