I don't know if this has been mentioned before but it'd be cool if you put some "new" text next to new information on the original post.

i do not think that all council member think commande sheppard has fragile mental state it the Turian council member who think commande sheppard has a fragile mental state the Asari and Salarian know that the Reapers maybe fictitious beings or not a fictitious beings thay need more evidence of Reapers and i do not think the council is replacing commande sheppard as Human Spectre i think that Kadian or Ashley be a Spectre is a move to backup commande sheppard  and it say  Virmire Survivor has achieved Spectre status  it do not  say  replacing commande sheppard as Human Spectre

No, I'm pretty sure they don't want to have someone that just killed a chunk of the galaxy to be a protector of the galaxy.

Nice list but a few concerns:

1. Hopefully Casual difficulty isn't "more difficult"; it was already more difficult in ME2 versus ME1 and I much prefer it in ME1 (had to mod ME2 before I was happy with it).

2. Hopefully timed discussions remain a rumor and don't become fact.

3. I'd rather have tessellation support than 3D goofiness.

Other than that, the screenshots I've seen so far look great, and I'm so glad Ashley finally lets her hair down.

I Chose Kaiden to die...second rate implants and migraines. Thought of him more of a liability. Never used him once in any of the missions as other characters were more effective.

Ashley...good soldier, xenophobic would put a big black mark against her name for the council to approve spectre status. And to be honest, she was good with a gun, but I don't think she had spectre or leadership qualities.

The known locations of ME3 so far are awesome, most of everything I dreamed of so far has been confirmed, The Salarian and Quarian/Geth home worlds, cool future cities on Earth like the Seattle-Vancouver mega city, and Mars.

My favorite character in the game is Tali *this makes me a "Talimancer," no?) but I still support the VS. I think it fits well with their character to reach Spectre status.

I wish I hadn't read about it beforehand, though. Me thinks the time for media hiatus is soon...

About the PS3 Magazine, how legit is it??

Fact is, the picture they used to illustrate Kaidan looks... weird. And they put the British Sniper in the space for James Sanders when it is confirmed that James Sanders is NOT Big Ben (I mean, Brit sniper).

I am really questioning the legitimacy of the article and their "facts" when it is obviously written in a very biased manner.

About the VS as a Spectre... I guess that one reason of that could the same of why Shepard was made a spectre in first istance: to hunt down a rouge spectre. To the eyes of the Council and of the Alliance Shepard joined a terrorist organization, s/he extinguished a whole species (the collectors) and then also destroyed a whole solar system, with 300 000 civilians inside it. They think that Shepard is now at the level of Saren, probably. So they choose another expendable soldier, wich also knows Shepard, his/her strategies and his/her modus operandi, to find him/her in case he/she won't accept to respond of his/her crimes. If so, the VS is a sensed choice, even the unique sensed choice.

If not, meh... another not-so-tought decision of the Council and the Alliance. Both Kaidan and Ashley are excellent soldiers, but still soldiers, not leaders. As Tela Vasir said the Spectres does the tought things, they blow up palaces and do whathever is needed, aside of rules. Ash and Kaidan are too loyal to the Alliance and too bounded to its rules imoh. I'm not saying that Ash and Kaidan can't become more indipentent, but until now it didn't seem that they're going in that direction as characters.

In fact, there are very few characters I can imagine become plausible Spectres: Garrus,  Miranda (but only after the SM when she's no more a Cerberus phanatic), and Mordin. At least if we take Shepard as sample of a decent Spectre.

It's worth saying that a lot of people who play this game have their Shepard being Paragon, or at least significantly Paragon. And many spent a good amount of time in ME1 helping out Alliance projects whenever asked (seen in the love for Hackett).

Its not a big point, but does suggest that we can't characterise Spectre's as being necessarily of the same mould as Tela Vasir or Saren

hold on a sec  if the  Council  think that  Shepard has gone rouge  than why  put   Shepard   back on Spectre status   but if   Shepard won't accept to respond   for what happen in arrive  then yes it is  why   a  VS is a Spectre but i dont think  put a VS as a Spectre just to hunt down   Shepard  is the only  reason  but  if  the  Alliance  think that Reapers  are real then  have  VS as a Spectre look in to the  Reapers is a  reason  as well

NG+ will be a hybrid of ME1's and ME2's. You can go back and finish some stuff in the post-game.

Forgive me if this has already been mentioned and/or discussed, but that sounds exactly like ME2's post suicide mission game to me, and hence nothing new...
