hold on a sec  if the  Council  think that  Shepard has gone rouge  than why  put   Shepard   back on Spectre status   but if   Shepard won't accept to respond   for what happen in arrive  then yes it is  why   a  VS is a Spectre but i dont think  put a VS as a Spectre just to hunt down   Shepard  is the only  reason  but  if  the  Alliance  think that Reapers  are real then  have  VS as a Spectre look in to the  Reapers is a  reason  as well

CANNOT BE PARSED! CAN. NOT. BE. PARSED!

Everytime I read something like that, I´m reading it really really fast in my head (no punctuation, so...:D)

NO HEAVY MELEE class FOR MASS EFFECT 3

Our translators are currently being tortured and sent to a specialized slavery camp. Go on.

As for the VS, as I said, even if they had no skill, they are obvious picks for political reasons.
Who sounds like Shepard's successor as a human spectre more than the human squadmate?

But anyway, their ranks are already high, especially considering that Ashley was getting backstaged due to her father.

True, but it may also be a good thing there not being a new class. I mean, 'ME3 only'

That's good enough honestly.

Combat seems to be a LOT better this time around...

Now about those RPG elements...

They better not affect the shooter elements.

I thought that the new class would be an interesting and it would offer new builds, but oh well, I don't mind sticking with the already established clashes.

About the VS as a Spectre... I guess that one reason of that could the same of why Shepard was made a spectre in first istance: to hunt down a rouge spectre. To the eyes of the Council and of the Alliance Shepard joined a terrorist organization, s/he extinguished a whole species (the collectors) and then also destroyed a whole solar system, with 300 000 civilians inside it. They think that Shepard is now at the level of Saren, probably. So they choose another expendable soldier, wich also knows Shepard, his/her strategies and his/her modus operandi, to find him/her in case he/she won't accept to respond of his/her crimes. If so, the VS is a sensed choice, even the unique sensed choice.

If not, meh... another not-so-tought decision of the Council and the Alliance. Both Kaidan and Ashley are excellent soldiers, but still soldiers, not leaders. As Tela Vasir said the Spectres does the tought things, they blow up palaces and do whathever is needed, aside of rules. Ash and Kaidan are too loyal to the Alliance and too bounded to its rules imoh. I'm not saying that Ash and Kaidan can't become more indipentent, but until now it didn't seem that they're going in that direction as characters.

In fact, there are very few characters I can imagine become plausible Spectres: Garrus,  Miranda (but only after the SM when she's no more a Cerberus phanatic), and Mordin. At least if we take Shepard as sample of a decent Spectre.

I haven't/won't challenge that Kaidan and Ashley are both very loyal to the Alliance. But I don't think people understand that is what HUMANITY wants. It's exactly why Udina wanted an Alliance solider (Shepard) to be the next Spectre. Shepard was made Spectre by the Council because of his skill, yes, but he was put forward by the Humanity because of his loyality (at the time) to the Alliance. They wanted to use Shepard as levage with the Council.

With Shepard now independant from the Alliance, putting forward a solider that is completely loyal to the Alliance is exactly what Humanity wants. Sure it will won't be a good trait for a Council agent, but I'm pretty sure Humanity views human spectres as agents for Humanity above all else.

So like other's have said, it makes perfect sense to make VS the next human spectre for political reasons, which to be honest was the main reason Shepard became a Spectre anyway.

EDIT: Also most Spectres are not 'leaders'. They tend to work independant and without a squad (ala Tela Vasir), Shepard and Saren were exceptions.

LOL I keep thinking about the VS is now a spectre, what if the VS became a spectre after the events on Horizon, after speaking with Shepard.

Dunno why is everyone getting so pissed at VS becoming a spectre.
Maybe Ashley/Kaiden prooved their skills those 2 years when Shepard was dead.

@blooddrunk yes, and most of the people seem to forget that they were the only ones that stayed looking for reapers evidences even after Shepard death. The so loved Tali, Garrus( and i'll say his my bro) or even Wrex forgot all that and left to attend their personal bussiness

A few new tidbits of information from the Beglian magazine CHIEF.

http://www.gamer.nl/...ordt-moeilijker

Translation:

"Normal het nieuwe Veteran is" = Normal in ME3 will be the Veteran of ME2

= James Sanders is going to be very muscular much like an US Football player on steroids (Gears of War?)

= Quarian Homeworld : Rannoch (Thought it didn't have a name yet), Palaven and the Salarian homeworld will be visited by Shepard.

Okay, most of this we already knew. And yeah, ME3 will be harder than ME2, solely because the AIs now cooperate... seems like my first playthrough will be on the "easy" difficutly ( not a shooter expert, so yeah... =P)

Wasn't Kai Leng a popular character in the comics or something? I never read them but this will probably excite some of the fans. Also, I wonder if Sanders will be American or British (or maybe even a different nationality). Probably American, most British people in Mass Effect are doctors.

I've seen fan groups on this forum that begs to differ.

Her lack of hair didn't make her ugly in any way. I thought her facial features were rather nice, actually.

Kai Leng is a Cerberus assassin that was introduced in the Retribution novel.

Something about them being related. Also,Garrus' new suit looks great. Now hopefully they bring back the great Mordin in all his greatness instead of lowing his greatness to someone as boring as...Jacob.

That looks like a modified Predator pistol. Flashbacks to ME1 Garrus? Don't mind if I do.
