A man eating giraffe.

I'm looking forward to finding out what the automaton from the destiny trailer is all about, and I'm interested in what role the Harvester will play beyond being a big freaking nasty in the Deep Roads section. Other than that I'd really like to face something epic and Qunari based. Siege machines or something.

I'd like to see some actually attractive monsters that don't look like boiled slugs, like, say, a unicorn or a griffin or even just some really big cats or lovely jewel-encrusted insects.

A truly powerful blood mage, controlling minds and growing strong on spilt blood and suffering. And just when you think you've got him he will surrender to the demon which seduced him and become an abomination (done better this time).

Heh, I nearly posted that. I like a bit of nuance in the things I'm killing. Being a dirty great monster rather defenstrates any sort of moral qualms.

I'm totally getting that word in once a day.

The Warden.

Can't count the times he was called a monster in Origins.

I'll tell you what I don't want to see again: Broodmothers; those things always wierded me out, and "The Mother" from Awakening was the icing on the cake, figuratively speaking...Posted Image

Hmm... I want to see something new; we've already seen dragons, golems, werewolves, revenants, various demons, darkspawn...

Maybe gargoyles? Or a basilisk? Oh, oh! Maybe something akin to Echidna!Posted Image

My favorite monsters tend to be planar critters.  That and dragons.  Not especially creative I guess, but the more we learn about what goes on in the Fade and the more we learn about dragons, the happier I will be.

Dragons aren't dinosaurs silly! They were mortal enemies in the long long ago.

It would be cool, though I don't know if Thedas has Gargoyels, but it would be cool to see statues coming alive.

I would like to see more things that have been possessed by demons, which could easily result in the previously suggested gargoyles. (There are a few living statues in the DAO expansions, but they don't seem terribly mobile.)

We know that demons are easily confused enough about the material world to possess corpses and trees, who knows what else they might get hold of?

Combined, of course.

I guess seeing more elemental enemies could be cool -- storm spirits, water/fire elementals, maybe an ice golem. They could have some really awesome, over-the-top abilities... Different kinds of revenants could also be cool. Maybe instead of the default sword-n-board version, a berserking kind, or revenants with different elemental vulnerabilities.

Otherwise, maybe just enemies that do a good job of using combos against the party, which can lend layers to combat. Seeing a party member get shattered could be awesome, or maybe an enemy use force field against crushing prison to use a shockwave against the party. Examples based on DA:O, of course, but you get the idea. Enemies tend to be variations on themes, so proper execution is just as important as variety.

And if it weren't for copyrights, fighting things like mind flayers and beholders would be nice... Awesome monsters those.

I hope to become the biggest monster of them all in DA2.

Conando Hawke will get his rightful place in the new D&D Beastiary.
