Risax: Even though I agree that  Demon possesed toddlers are scary and what not.
But BioWare makes it so that the kid gets killed off screen or turns in a demon, it's impossible to kill them.

They wouldn't get away with killing children on-screen, especially if the player is the one doing it. Games have been banned for less, at least in Europe.

What games?
I live in the Netherlands, and the only game we had much contreversy about was 'Bully'.

You know what would make for a creepy monster? Something that seems innocent and beautiful, like a little girl selling roses thats really possessed by a demon or something. Sometimes the best monsters are the ones you least expect to find.

Aye, or like the wee girl in 30 Days Of Night. "I've finished playing with this one". Really creeped me out, even if I did expect it.

I'm down with this idea.  Monstrosities that always look like monstrosities are boring.

Even though I agree that  Demon possesed toddlers are scary and what not.
But unless BioWare makes it so that the kid gets killed off screen or turns into a demon, it would be impossible to kill them.

It doesn't have to be a child, could just be pleasant-looking by comparison with the other monsters in the game.  *headscratch* kind of like the Qunari, actually.  But when all the monsters are trying to out-do each other in squick, it gets old.

I prefer fighting humanoids over creatures, so I hope to see a lot of those types other then darkspawn.

From what I've heard demon possesed corpses are different depending on the class the human was.
Maybe we get to see a Rogue version of a Revenant or Arcane Horrors.

That makes me think of an Elcor as drawn by Studio Ghibli.

In my eyes it looks more like a friendly creature/spirit then an enemy.
But then again, if it was a monster it would be very decieving. Someone walks up to it thinking 'Aah...Pretty' and then it crushes his body.

Most Darkspawn get a different look in DA 2.
We've already seen: Hurlocks, Ogres and the Emissary.
Do you think the Shrieks will look any different?
And how about Genlocks? Will they just look like little Hurlocks, or will they have a unique look?

I want to see more dragons, trolls, and the monster that I wanna see the most is a GIANT. I would love to see Hawke battle a giant.

Giants?
Why didn't I think of that.
It sounds awesome, but I'm wondering what BioWare would do about the lore.

I'll tell you what I don't want to see again: Broodmothers; those things always wierded me out, and "The Mother" from Awakening was the icing on the cake, figuratively speaking...Posted Image

Hmm... I want to see something new; we've already seen dragons, golems, werewolves, revenants, various demons, darkspawn...

Maybe gargoyles? Or a basilisk? Oh, oh! Maybe something akin to Echidna!Posted Image

I look at the one from Origins and those in the breeding pit as dwarf broodmothers.

The Mother from Origins as a human broodmother.

I want to fight a huge horned qunari broodmother.  Twice the size of the other broodmothers with horns as long as a school bus and as twisted as a thorny bush. It should be a special type of fight where you have to move around and shot her with ballistas because she is to strong to take head on.  And a quarter of the way through the fight... she stands up on 6 legs and starts charging. That's the "oh ****" moment.

Considering that qunari aren't familiar with Blights or darkspawn and the rarity of ogres there is probably just one ogre broodmother from one unluck qunari who got lost somewhere.

Some knew types of golems would be nice.

And, since Kirkwall has a port, how about some sea serpents or the DA equivelant of Deep Ones

Vampires. And I'm not talking about those vampires with feelings that the kids love these days. Something more along the lines of higher and lower vampires like in the Witcher (Bruxa, Fleder...)

Liches

Liches achieve a perverse form of immortality and are usually much stronger as undead than they were when they were alive. Liches often hold power over hordes of lesser undead creatures, using them as their soldiers and servants.
This seemes like something some blood mages might be strong enough to do, or even just evil mages, the need not be blood mages necessarily.

This is what I want to see. They were punks in Oblivion that could easily overwhelm you character with their summoned dead and powerful spells.

They are not Revenants, those were once-living deceased human without a soul, doomed to kill and feed on the living for its own sustenance.

With a pirate in our team I'm hoping we go out to sea with Hawke and the rest. And yes, I hope we get to fight some sea monsters.

Where did you get my picture?

I want were-turtles, thousands of them. They should have 95% resist everything and you have to fight off legions of them. You could run, but you can't hide.
