Obviously, but i don't see the reason for the group of people who dislike it to have any real reason to.Upsettingshorts wrote...
"People" dislike it for different reasons. People also like it. People have individual opinions, expectations, and preferences which may or may not be in line with what they are seeing, believe they are seeing, or assume are the implications of what they are seeing.

no but i've read the previews and they've all said the same thing.Conall Cameron wrote...
Have you played the FINAL version of the game yet? Do you know for a fact it's better?
More responsive and actually feels like you're playing the game rather than commanding you PC to attack.

Its an opinion. Yes we havent played it but, I have played games that look LIKE what DA2 is looking like, and cant say I like that direction. So it is a persons oppinion on what kind of combat you prefer. You call it better and not dumbed down. Others call it Worse and simplified.
Both of them can be right, because niether are based in facts

but we have previews would those allow us to base our opinion off facts?....I don't remember anything calling it dumbed down and from what the devs tell us the hardcore fans who came to dragon age gaming both and actually tried it enjoyed it as well.Tiax Rules All wrote...

Dragon age origins was not responsive at all, just because combat is better dosen't mean they're dumbing anything down.
The lack of click-to-attack is disappointing, but overall, I like the new combat. I'm even interested in playing a mage, even though mages are complete and utter *******.

Now that's a valid criticsim,filetemo wrote...
the only thing I dislike about the new combat is the apparent low framerate of animations shown in the footage. It looks clunky for the sake of looking cooler and faster. I also dislike the "flashing beams" that come out of your weapon when you strike with a special talent, it looks like those old shinobi games where a sword slash unleashed a fire wave with a crappy midi sound attached to it.
although i kinda like the epicness of seeing hawke jump 20 feet in the air to finish an enemy.

Some people dislike it on aesthetic grounds. Other people dislike it because they've literally played the demo and don't like it, or dislike the explanations of what they've seen by the developers, or dislike it because they've experienced similar features in different games and didn't like them there. And for every one of these examples, there's someone who like it for the exact same reason.
There are plenty of valid reasons to like or dislike it. Plenty of invalid ones too.

Why does she dislike French fries? I mean, what kind of person would dislike French fries anyway?
And yeah, she actually dislikes them, however hard it is to believe.
