Are we looking at the same shots of Isabela??  She's got laces that are barely... lacing.  Those things should be at her knees.

Someone on the ME crew was definitely an ass man.  I'm attempting to play it again, and even in ME1 you had, for instance, the close-up jiggly cheek shot of the consort.  Really just... not necessary.

Heh, to my eyes ALL the characters look like this, it's just when I saw the one screenshot with Bethany for the first time I literally yelled "WTF is with her boobs and neck?!" and startled the hell out of my housemate.  My reaction to Isabela was more . . . "huh, okay.  Scarf.  Sash.  Boots."  (I didn't realize right away she had no pants.)  But my initial reaction to Bethany totally included the word BOOBS.

Let me put it another way.  To me, if you switched their outfits, I'd be way more focused on Isabela's boobs.  It's what they're wearing, not their model - which is the same.
