It's dumber to let the species endure when 100% of the interaction you've had with them indicates they want to wipe you out. When those lines are drawn it becomes us versus them. I'm sure as hell not gonna let them win.

Actually, 100% of the interaction you've had with them indicates that they want peace.

I really hope that some of the people here have different morals on the internet and real life. Otherwise, the world is a really f***** up place.

Just FYI, the world IS a "really f***** up place", always has and always will.

Sure they want peace. When they are done with chewing up every non-Rachni being in the Galaxy, there will be peace.

First, that comment was about the Reapers.

Second, I fought a sh!t ton of Rachni in ME1. The only Rachni that proposed peace was the Rachni queen when she realized she was about to be melted.

The krogan killed every single rachni queen (and destroyed their eggs), and the rachni have never tried to communicate, capitulate, etc.

The queen on Noveria...negotiates. There is obviously a difference between "rachni war queens" and the queen on Noveria.

The difference between the Queens in the war and the Queen in the tube.

The Queens in the war had an army.
The Queen in the tube is at your mercy.

I wouldn't exacty call it a negotiation... A trick, perhaps, as is immedietly evidenced by the queen's reaction if you don't buy it.

The krogan conquered all rachni planets, they systematically killed the queens. You don't think that the last rachni queens would have tried to contact the council/krogan...to capitulate (= ensure the survival of their race)?

Mass effect technology is just the natural progression of technology. finding ezero on mars and learning how to use it from scratch is not reaper technology. its natural development. saying mass effect technology is automatically reaper tech is like saying all space travel is reaper technology because they want to you spread among the stars.

We didn't find E-zero on mars, we found a prothean station left by the Reapers with technology to make E-zero. And the Protheans got their technology from what the Reapers left behind with the civilization before that. Eventually, it all goes back to what the Reapers developed and left behind for discovery and usage.

The clincher about "Reaper Tech" is really only the relays. It is foriegn tech that civilizations become completely dependant on to survive. That is really the only thing they care about.

The alternate is just stunting growth and waiting for hyperspace to be found.

And? Alternates existing (or not) doesn't mean that we weren't intended to develop mass effect technology by the Reapers.

The alternatives was just an observation. ME civilization exists as is because of relays. without that, its just isolated planets slowly growing outward.

Reapers do expect us to develop mass effect technology, because it is the natural way for technology to develope. they are counting on it because they have already achieved the pinicle of mass effect technology. They will always be more powerful. A race that is unable to mine ezero and does not find the realys will develop differently, and be unpredictable. but still, using mass effect technology is the same as expecting people to use guns and space ships. if a race developed to just teliport between planets or teliport nukes inside enemy ships, Reapers would be ****ed.

I suppose their technology isn't based on reaper technology  (maybe organic ships or something - at least a different path of technology).

If it's using mass effect technology, it's Reaper tech. It doesn't have to be identical to current-galactic tech to fall under the perview of 'Reaper intended paths'.

Mass effect technology is not Reaper technology. Looking at the plans Protheans left behind and basing your entire civilization around them is using Reaper technology.

Mass effect technology is the epitomy of Reaper technology. The Mass Effect is the defining comonality between all galactic civilizations in the cycle of destruction. The Council and Alliance based their technology on the mass effect principals discovered from the Protheans and the relays. The protheans based their mass effect technology on those that came before and the relays. Mass Effect technology, in the Relays in the Citadel, is the single most important basis of the Reaper tech development paths.

Yes, mass effect technology is Reaper technology. They developed it first. They leave it behind because they want us to find it, utilizie it, rely on it. It's the entire basis of their trap. It may well be the entire reason for their trap as well, if dark energy theories are to be believed.

Point of clarity.  There was only one Prothean relay (Ilos).  All the other relays predated Prothean civilization, most likely they were constructed by the Reapers or their predecessors.

Do you honestly think the Krogans would care if their opponent tried to surrender?

No? They started the war in the first place, they grew rapidly and became a vicious extremely quickly and were fighting for centuries. I suspect anybody who would've wanted to contact would've done so. Though they didn't, they thought themselves unapposed until the Krogan showed up and kick their asses.

This scares me, alot. I really hope that you dont believe this in real life. This is just blatent racism.

I could use that argument to justify the extermination of all black people. I could use it for all humans.

I really hope you are trolling :(

Believe it or not most black people I come across don't try to wipe out my family. In fact no black people ever have. You obviously did not understand my post. Your argument is a complete non sequitur. My views are in no way racist.

Also Reapers are even dangerous dead( IFF mission) and if somebody manage to control their technology of indoctrination it would be REALLY dangerous.

So you admit that genocide is sometimes justifiable. Therefore your first argument holds zero weight.

Well Reapers are pure evil.
They're nothing but machines of destruction.
I don't think they can be consider a race ether.

First interaction of Turians and Humans? They both want to kill each other. All each other sees is just that the entire enemy race just wants to kill them all. Thank gods you were not in charge of that mess.
A white man has his first interaction with a black gang. obviously all black people are in gangs and want to beat up white people.
We have seen just 2 reapers, one of which we attacked first and was just defending itself. obviously they are all evil and need to be destroyed.

Yes, Rachni War Queens: Indoctrinated and without a form of communication
Queen on Noveria: had an Asari Meatpuppet so she could talk to Shepard
The Rachni can't  communicate like most races and thus everytime you heard a Rachni talk, they use Asari whose mind can meld with theirs.
Secondly, those Rachni were Berserk by being taken away from the queen (The Scientist's fault)
