Also Reapers are even dangerous dead( IFF mission) and if somebody manage to control their technology of indoctrination it would be REALLY dangerous.

So you admit that genocide is sometimes justifiable. Therefore your first argument holds zero weight.

Well Reapers are pure evil.
They're nothing but machines of destruction.
I don't think they can be consider a race ether.

Please define "pure evil" if you're going to attribute it to an entire group of . . . whatever they are.

Also, what is necessary for a group of sentient beings to be considered a "race"?

It's dumber to let the species endure when 100% of the interaction you've had with them indicates they want to wipe you out. When those lines are drawn it becomes us versus them. I'm sure as hell not gonna let them win.

This scares me, alot. I really hope that you dont believe this in real life. This is just blatent racism.

I could use that argument to justify the extermination of all black people. I could use it for all humans.

I really hope you are trolling :(

Believe it or not most black people I come across don't try to wipe out my family. In fact no black people ever have. You obviously did not understand my post. Your argument is a complete non sequitur. My views are in no way racist.

First interaction of Turians and Humans? They both want to kill each other. All each other sees is just that the entire enemy race just wants to kill them all. Thank gods you were not in charge of that mess.
A white man has his first interaction with a black gang. obviously all black people are in gangs and want to beat up white people.
We have seen just 2 reapers, one of which we attacked first and was just defending itself. obviously they are all evil and need to be destroyed.

Oh, you've been watching Glenn Beck.

As I said, you can't compare the rachni war queens and the queen on Noveria ^_^

You mean the guy who was attacked by Rachni that were confirmed to be insane by both the Queen and the scientists there?

"Insane" seems to be quite a natural condition for them. I'd even so much as say that necromancy is insane. And anyway, if even "insane" Rachni are capable of wreaking so much havoc, I'm afraid, should they have been "sane" and coordianted, they'd have overrun Port Hanshan by the time Shepard got there.

The Turians didn't come in with loudspeakers saying that there intentions were to wipe out all advanced organic life in the galaxy.

The race comparison doesn't apply. It would apply only if all white people who have ever encountered a black person in any capacity was injured/killed. This is obviously not the case.

Sovereign attacked Eden Prime. Harbinger led the Collectors in attacking humanity. Which one was "just defending itself"?

Although to be fair, it would only be a correctly analogy if it went like this:

A white man has his first interaction with a black person when he meets an entire gang of black people, who swiftly beat him up. Then the leader of the gang says "white man, there is an entire race of my black people, and we all exist only to destroy you. Or perhaps you only exist to be destroyed by us. You have been warned, ******."

And then white man reaches the conclusion that we must put up a border fence or whatever and that the only way to fix the economy is to give more money to the multi-billionaires.

That would be a good Reaper analogy =D

Fetus.

Well, its impossible to argue against a racist. So I will just stop here. It really makes me sad that you believe that the actions of the few justify the extermination of everything.

Can we please keep real world politics out of this?

As for the Rachni choice, I can see it going both ways. It is morally wrong to commit genocide of the Rachni for the SECOND time, however despite whether or not they had been indoctrinated by the Reapers they did very nearly take over the galaxy single handedly. If they were indeed indoctrinated, what little I know of the Rachni tells me that they are unusually more susceptible to indoctrination - take over the mind of one Queen and suddenly the Reapers have an army (that's what I've gathered at least).

I released the Rachni Queen, but I would not be surprised to see that decision come back to bite me. Not that it "should" as so many Renegade players seem to insist, just that the possibility is realistic and has crossed my mind more than once - of any Paragon decision that could backfire, I rank that at number one.

Space is big. There is a slim/zero chance they managed to kill all Rachni worlds. Rachni could have ran off outside the clusters everybody sticks to around the relays and have grown completely unnoticed by the galaxy for 2000 years.

Revenge could be imminent unless you have a friendly queen willing to negotiate peace. :P

Gee I don't know.
Every 50 000 years they do "little" genocide and they done it a lot of time, they have no mercy, make zombies from other races or make sick experiments on them, do not negotiate unless can be used as tools, don't care who they kill, destroyed cultures...

As for the Rachni:
At the time of ME1 you see Rachni Queen that posses no threat and claim here children went insane because she couldn't teach them to "sing" and who's race went extinct because Krogans felt like it. Not because Council told them they don't deserve to live but because they were too pathetic to stop them. It's same thing you decide to make genocide on Germans because of Hitler and Na_zis.

Maybe we are just food to them. I wonder if cows think we are complete evil when we keep them on farms and raise them for the sole purpose of consuming their flesh to grow...

The difference is we don't completely eradicate cows and then move on to another species when our supply of cows is up.

Let's turn this around a bit... what if the Rachni weren't "giant bugs"? What if instead, they had been the Asari? The Reapers indoctrinated them and unleashed them on the galaxy... attractive blue aliens that, from what I understand, are the most technologically advanced race in Mass Effect and all of them are biotics. If it had been the Asari that had nearly taken over the galaxy once and been stopped, would everyone be so quick to be judge, jury and executioner? What about Salarians?

I think a lot of this goes to the fact that the Rachni are "just bugs."

We are doing that to whales. and Reapers just like variety in their meals. They could easily just farm us, but instead they chose to hunt. Give us a fighting chance. They are quite sporting. :P

Definitally. Humans relate to other humaniods much better than they relate to completely alien creatures.

If you knew nothing of their species, and came across an Asari fighting a Rachni in an open field, you would automatically kill the Rachni and ask the asari if it is alright. if it was an asari and a turian fighting, you would be more inclined to break up the fight and see what is going on.

Hmh, if Sheaprd failed in ME1 to stop Saren and Soverign then Reapers would just do major wipe out like always while most of galaxy doesn't know what is going on.
Not really sporty.

Also aren't whales protected and illegal to hunt down except in Japan and China?
And cows ain't sentient.

GET OFF MY PHONE.

I apologise. It had to be done.

On topic, I think the Rachni might be a race similar to the Reapers. They're insectoid, and have a hivemind that seems a bit like the "we are each a nation" idea put across by Sovereign. Possibly and allegory for the Reapers? Either way, I think that's a reason why perhaps logically speaking we should have wiped them out, their similarity to a race that wants our extermination. But genocide is never justified, not even with proof of their malevolence. So when it comes to that, maybe killing them isn't such a good idea.
