The comments about the Tempest in the videos were sort of funny. I love the Tempest. But I tap the trigger for basically every weapon if it isn't up close. Got used to that from playing a lot of Counter Strike way back when.

Yeah, about those Tempest comments... I will be less critical in future comments, I promise.

Ryoldschool mentioned that he never used the Tempest for any length of time before. I use the Tempest quite a bit so I am used to tapping the trigger.

The Tempest is a new gun to me ( always use locust on non-soldiers ) and I appreciate helpful hints.  I've been looking at Red's videos to see how he does it.  I am using cryo ammo to freeze guys left and right :)

I am using the Tempest all over the place in the Opening part of LotSB Baria Frontiers

Tempest is just fun to unload into people.

When I got to late game with my Vanguard I was using Tempest and Viper at least as much as my shotguns for a change of pace... after charging that is. I think I did Tali's LM only using those two in fact. Assault Sentinel also got Tempest... storm to the baddies, tech explosion, and start hosing everyone down.

Lair of the Shadow Broker.  This is a fun build, I like cloaking and using the shotgun on guys.  I just wish I could use the claymore with the Infiltrator - Looking forward to ME3 when I could do that.

Azure Parking Lot and Vasir Fight - had to use stasis on Vasir, her shockwave killed me many times when I didnt.

Shadow Broker Ship ( outside ) - Took Garrus for first time on this mission.  I actually had a lot of trouble with the Loki mechs when you would not expect it ( I tried a few times with Mordin and it made the mechs a piece of cake, but I ended up reloading and going with Garrus for the help with shields )

Shadow Broker Ship ( plus Broker Fight ) -  Cloak works great on the hallways.  For the broker, I was unable to stand toe-to-toe with broker using just a shotgun.   The first time was easy, but on the next time his shield is up he is able to break the columns and kill you in a hurry.  So I used cloak and he turned to face Liara and I was able to shoot him in the back :)

Ok, so I'm a traitor.  I did Jacob's LM and since there are lots of Loki mechs ( and I hate Loki mechs ) I respeced from Reave to Incinerate, oO Brought along Mordin so we can burn those suckers.

Jacob's LM

Yeah, Loki Mechs,I hate them so goddamn much. I wish my Shuriken did half the damage of theirs.

Yeah Reave wasn't the greatest on Jacob's mission. I basically used it to strip their armor so Garrus could overload or Jacob could pull.

Haestrom was the biggest pain for Reave though. At least for me.

That's when you use some of that plentiful eezo to respect to Area Drain.

Biotic Assassin, Tech Assassin, whatever :innocent:

But AI hacking is a lot more fun on that mission! I never get tired of hacking a Geth Destroyer and force it to do my bidding.

Honestly if I am doing Haestrom how I want to then Miri, Garrus and I just roll them with Overload and weapons fire.

 Almost done with this run.

Reaper IFF b4 core
Reaper IFF Core

Samara and Mordin own this mission.   I used them with my sentinel, CoalIla used them with his adept, and they worked well with this build as well.

I used Samara's area reave, Mordin's incinerate, my area reave + Evi and viper, all of us using squad cryo ammo.  I only cloaked a few times to get damage boost for viper shots.  Unfortunately when I did the core, I had problems keeping my squad alive ( before posting this I saw capn233's reave soldier run and he had great luck with placing his squad right at the entrance to the core - will have to try that next time ).  Anyway I had to use 7 medi-gel to keep the squad alive in the core, but otherwise it was a fun run.

youtube showed me the core video had been posted, but I missed the first part until I came in here and saw that there was a first part.

Like I noted in comments, interesting to see the difference between class and squad choice / specs. Pull field is probably my second favorite biotic ability for squaddies (behind warp - that is pragmatic) which is why I tend to get it on Jacob and Jack. Samara would usually get area reave, but I figured I had that covered this time and gave her area pull too, and Jack ended up with improved shockwave.

Not trying to jack the discussion, but for the core that was the position I used for the squad in both versions I uploaded, Claymore (Garrus/Kasumi) and Revenant (Garrus/Samara). I only lost Garrus at the end of the first run when I screwed up his management and issued a move order instead of concussive shot. The only other place I have kept them alive is with Grunt and Garrus at the console where Legion is, the three of us just mowing down husks. That is more difficult though... I recommend the position by the door. You just have to make sure they stay there, they will move after each wave / reaper core opening. If you don't have squad cryo and or good area powers it will also be challenging.

Most of the time if they end up dying I don't bother to revive them. You could run around and kite the husks alone. I am confident you could have done that since you were doing the heavy lifting most of the mission anyway.

^ thanks for the input.   My "gold standard" for this mission is CaolIla's Adept run here.  In this run he does not fire a single shot ( except at the core ) and does not give any positioning commands at all with Samara and Mordin.  He uses a lot of throw, singularity and elbows :)

He did lose his mates a few times, but when all husks are eliminated in a wave the squad automatically revives.   I guess I was too impatient and did not realize that they would revive when a wave was over - it seemed to me that there was no end in the waves :)

Well I finally finished my Reave- Infiltrator run

SM Part 1
SM Part 2

SM Finale

Couple things to say about this mission:

(1) One of the things about this build that I didn't like was for this mission there are eight wasted points - disruptor ammo is useless with squad cryo available, so you really only have reave and cloak.  I put the extra eight points into incinerate but its redundant with reave so I never used it.

(2) Missile Launcher is really bad.  I'd never used it before - tried it on the husks in the bubble and Arc Projector or Avalanche are much better for that at least.

(3) Thane is great with the incisor - take a look at his flanking move on the 7/8 tube part.

--------------------------------------------------------------

I enjoyed this run, and thanks for watching :)

I don't know if anyone else had problems like this, and maybe my imagination, but I was having problems with my game glitching when I went into "zoom-mode" with the sniper.  I play xbox and what would happen is that I would pull left trigger and hold and the zoom would zoom in, then out immediately.   I was blaming the controller, but it happened with several different controllers.   So what I did was un-install the game from by xbox ( everything else stays - DLC, save games, etc ) then re-install from disk again.   It seemed to fix the problem since I used the viper all over the place in these videos.

Edit: added Finale

Nice videos ryoldschool. I just finished my Widow Infiltrator Paragon run in preparation for ME3. I love playing Cryo Vanguard, but Reave Infiltrator is still my favorite class. It's so versatile. You can swap up your technique whenever you get bored.

Samara and Thane basically exist to escort you on the final mission.

Thanks, you are the master :)  I'm doing a widow soldier as my last ME2 run before ME3.  We are all looking forward to it.

I LOVE reeve. It's the best power of all of them IMO. You stay in cover mostly and except for mechs I think, everyone is fair game at even far distances. It's the ultimate power and the best way to take down enemies if you need to stay in cover or just don't feel like using guns. It's also very quick. Total reeve addict here.
