To date I have been cheating with my area music adding it to a sound placeable and playing it as a non location specific sound.
That's all good if there is no combat in the area.
How do I go about pinning it to the coorect location in the area properties. It does not see it from my over ride. Do I have to Hak in the music to see it?
Cheers,
PJ

See? Music? I want whatever it is you're taking while modding in the toolset!
I thought even custom music goes into the music folder and then you use it, but I haven't even tried using the normal music (it's almost always one of the first things I turn off in the game -- it may enhance the mood, but it totally destroys my situational awareness with other sounds. Then again, I can't use a walkman or mp3 player while I'm running or walking outside, either. I just can't.)

You need to edit the ambientmusic 2da, put that into a hak, override or campaign folder and then, finally, put your modified music files--as they must be .bmu format--into the documents music folder. That's a mouthful!
A mp3 to bmu converter can be found on the vault, and I believe there's also a more detailed tutorial on music there. Of course, I could just send you my modified ambientmusic file so you can see how it's done. It's a little tricky to start with, but it makes sense once you work it through.
