The point he was trying to make is that they are charging the same price for the PC version as they are the console version and they shouldn't. There are extra costs involved with the console version that are NOT present with the PC version. The main extra cost is the console royalty fee, every console game sold at least $10 goes straight to Sony/Microsoft. The PC does not have this royalty fee and it is the reason nearly all games on the PC are $10 cheaper than the console version.
In short EA are price gouging PC gamers there should be a $10 difference between the PC version and the console version and it is obvious EA are trying to take PC gamers for mugs.

Ok, don't you think it's a bit stupid to hate the game before you see a trailer and get more information?
If there's information available, no matter how little, you can expect people to form an opinion on it.Stazro wrote...
It's a promotional text of three and a bit lines and there already are people who believe they know everything about the game and start b****ing around. Typical.
This can range from "wow this is the best thing I've heard" to "ok, but I'll wait until I've read more" to "that doesn't sound too good".
I agree not to form a strong judgement based on so little, but I am entitled to state what I think about it.

I live in Australia.
Over here on average every game costs up to and above $100.
Stop complaining, you seriously have no idea how good you have it.

Although there is nothing intrinsically wrong with a story about rallying the galaxy against an unknown and unknowable foe. If properly done right ( and if the two MEs are any indication we will not be disappointed ) it can turn out to be a fittingly roaring ending to the story of Shepard and the Reapers.

No kidding, these days everything is a trilogy. Truth be told, I actually reckon Mass Effect 1 could have been a stand alone story but hey, the second I saw a sequel I knew there was going to be another.
Trilogies are like iphones.... started out as just a trend but now it is the social standard to have one.

Why do people keep repeating this as if everyone doesn't already know we're dealing with a trilogy? Quite obviously, there is more than one kind of confirmation.DarthCaine wrote...

True, but ME was thought out as a trilogy from the start. ME2 wasn't made as a response to breaking open the cash-cow.
So Bioware is guilty of "Premeditated Trilogy with aggravat(ingly awesome) circumstances". Guilty I say!

I'll likely buy it when it releases, but I don't think it's worth getting excited for. Why? Because it's still quite far away and we know, roughly, what will likely happen in the game. We know who a number of the characters will be, we can guess the plotline with, possibly, some accuracy and all we really "need" to know pre-release is what changes will happen in terms of gameplay and RPG or shooter mechanics. That's it. I can't see them diverting too much from the ME2 formula, either.
I doubt it'll be $60 for the PC, though, and I'll explain why. The EA store is pretty expensive as far as places go, and it's very visible if you compare to other stores. Sims Medieval is listed at £40 on the UK EA Store, but that's not a price PC games sell at (Unless they're Acticrap games or collector's/special editions) Medal of Honor is listed at £35, but again, it doesn't sell at that price anywhere else. It's either a placeholder figure or the EA store is just going to continue being expensive; Don't take it as an indication of the price where you buy your games from - Wait until they put the details up.

True, but what I was saying was that I didn't even need to be told that it was going to be a trilogy to know that it was going to be a trilogy. These days, it just happens.
Speaking of, I am predicting that, before the year 2015 Disney makes a Prince of Persia 2... if that comes to be let it be known throuought the lands that I called it.

Be thankful you don't live in Australia. We pay over $100 for anticipated new release titles on PC. And I'm not exaggerating. To be fair, the old currency differences used to make the amounts slightly closer but now it's just sad.

Why don't you buy it from eBay then? Or have some American gift it to you on Steam (to save a lot of money)?
