I think if the reapers look smaller than they should, it was purely for cinematic purposes. After all, the London eye and Big Ben are very short but you still need to see them clearly in the trailer (to make it iconic), thus if you want the trailer to also show a entire reaper (also iconic) then they need to be shrunk. Otherwise you would have to chose, do I show the entire reaper with tiny specs for the London skyline? or Do I show the London skyline with only the Reapers front tentacle visible?

Bottom Line: I think talking about the reapers size is over-analysis.

Yeah I went off on a pedantic trip. I'm not really caught up on size issues mummy...er.
Still I don't like that bit of the trailer though, it feels like the tried to cram too much into that scene, a bit like how in fan art the artist usually ends up trying to put every single thing they like in the one scene/frame. Looks a little cluttered to my eyes. And I still want to know who the voice actor is. A faceless man who can out-Bean, The Bean...

Who's to say there arent different sizes of Reapers?

Sovereign was massive but his whole structure was very long.

Then when you see Harbinger for those few seconds he seems to be abit more squat and wide across than Sovereign and there are others that look all types of different shapes and sizes.

The Human-esk Reaper wasnt nearly as big as Sovereign. Seeing as EDI said the Reapers are based off of the species they use to form themselves there are going to be a great many type of Reaper in ME3

Well Remember Some people might have had their Shepard killed at the end of Mass Effect 2.  For that reason I believe that the Shepard in the Trailer is blacked out.  It's to show how dark times are but also not everybody will be getting their Shepard back in ME3 so the darked out figure of Shepard could be showing another hero would be saving Earth in ME3 if you killed Shepard, and we don't know what the new hero looks like yet.  That's just my thought.

A) It is just dramatic effect
B) Chris told there is no dead Shep import period
C) You can still see Sheploo face

Yes, but all the reapers in the trailer do look like Soveriegn. My point is that they are most likely the same 'type' of reaper as soveriegn and are simply a different size for cinematic purposes.
At the end of ME2 was the only time I saw different types of reapers

The guy in that video is definitely Paul Grayson. There is little doubt in my mind. Remember, he's being controlled by Reapers now.

Hey he kinda does.

And no I do not know him nor I watch cricket.
First time heard him from you.

Possible 3D scan of character and even voice actor?

I liked the M-44 Hammerheads flying over the river; very neat effect. Wonder if we'll see Makos battling it out in future trailers

Eh... hope I'm not ruining the fun here ;)

We've used Bioware's ingame model of Sovereign for all the Reapers in the trailer (with some remodeling for the legs in the final close-up), and they're all exactly 2 kilometers big.

The sniper isn't based on any particular person at all, either. And there are some Makos too :)

I take it you're someone from Blur?
If so, thanks for the info! :D
One question, though: Who is it the voices this Sniper, then?

The human Reaper was unfinished, an embryo or infant really. When it's completed it will be placed in the same Reaper "cuttlefish" shell.

Not exactly Blur, the Mass Effect 3 trailer was done by Digic Pictures (and Dragon Age 2 also).
Even if I could tell, I still have no clue about the voice actor though, Bioware handled the recording.

Not ruining fun. You're giving us answers to key questions, making our analyisis a lot easier. Thanks for the contribution.
Can you show us where the Makos are? I've been shown the Hammerheads, but can't seem to find and wheely vehicles, no matter how many times I look.

My god, no! We mean crackpot theories but with imagery to (very barely) support them.

Basically, we're trying a slightly more refined shotgun approach - random theories inspired by what we've seen.

The Makos are crossing the bridge, probably impossible to tell from the compressed youtube videos though.

Ah, thanks. Sadly, you're correct, they're pretty hard to see on youtube.

The guy he's shooting looks like a collector because the way his legs fly after he's been shot is similar to a collector when they get shot.

I believe the Reapers are invading specific area searching for Shepard.

If you listen carefully for the person who is speaking at the trailer; he was saying "if Shepard does not come soon.." It seems that Reapers could locate Shepard location and invade specific area; also the man appeared in the trailer could be aided Shepard and secure an escape root for him before Reapers got chance to catch him. No wonder why he is injured if he was defending Shepard. At last Shepard looks at earth from space and his mission to gather alliance to face the Reapers and get back ASAP!

I wonder; does the fact that the sniper reloads his rifle confirm that thermal clips are staying for good in ME3, and not getting taken out like so many people seem to want?

If by so many you mean a handful of people on this forum who do not make up the majority of people who have played the game then yes.

They don't even make up the majority of the people on the forums. They're just very vocal.

They should keep thermal clips system.

Soldier class is incredibly boring with infinitive ammo.
