The guy in that video is definitely Paul Grayson. There is little doubt in my mind. Remember, he's being controlled by Reapers now.
Hey he kinda does.
And no I do not know him nor I watch cricket.
First time heard him from you.
Possible 3D scan of character and even voice actor?

I don't get that sentence.
You mean that I did something or that Grayson is not voice acting and/or 3D scan... what?

the guy could be a alliance soilder battling a reaper then gets killed and mass effect 3 opens with shepard going aroud the galaxy for a bigger team to save earth
That'd be cool, but something tells me that this guy is going to play a larger part.

Credit for the last pic goes to aergistal.
There can be no doubt to my mind that the Sniper is behind the shot-out face of Big Ben's clock, looking out into the courtyard and at the rubble-filled Parliament Street beyond.

Not that we really needed another thread for this, three hours before the awards [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wink.png[/smilie], but since you still have doubts about Big Ben being the location of the sniper, I guess I might as well post these pics again:

And I made this thread not just for the teaser, but for the full trailer coming up as well. I'll update it when I see it.

No need to apologise.
I see, so we're going to disect the rest of the trailer as well, eh? Excellent!
I do have my doubts, however, that other settings in the trailer will be equally painstakingly recreated as this one was, considering that we'll only see them shortly in the trailer, whereas these shots were intended to be srutinized for weeks.

They're likely to give us some idea of where we are, if not specifically state it, and we'll be able to glean something of story and characters, too. I'd like to know more about the man in the window, at least a name, so he doesn't have to be the man in the window. If they don't give us that, I can see him becoming MITW for the rest of his life.
There's worse fates... And refund guy has more fans than Jacob even without having a proper name.
Considering the Sniper's location, however, I shall call him Watch-Man until further notice.
But I do hope to see some non-earth locations as well in the trailer. Thessia and Palaven being at the top of my list.

I like London as a setting. And it being one of the largest conurbations in tightly settled Europe makes it a yummy target for Reaper harvesting.
Edit: English breakfast would be nice. My Sheps have had enough of Rahmen to last a lifetime.

No seriously, look at pictures.
I just can't believe Retribution had character that died and has same first and last name as RL cricket( or rugby) player while this CGI guy has same face!

Agreed. That does seem like too much of a coincidence. Perhaps it's an inside joke and a slight nod to their fans on behalf of Bioware.
After all, when London is under attack, it is up to Her Royal Majesty's 1st Cricketeers to save the day.

Unless Queen or King get harvest( BOSS FIGHT MUST!) won't be satisfied since bad guys are attacking.
Played MW2 and that one mission in Washington. I almost puke since I'm tired of US patriotism do to many games/movies.
But then again game overall sucked and plot gave me headache.
BTW I have no problem with no English structures. They're awesome, mostly.

Fair enough, but at least it's original. If it were New York, it would be really tedious.

I'd quite like the Queen or King to be harvested. That's assuming of course that we haven't dispensed with the over-priveleged parasites by the time of Mass Effect 3. And on the MW2 thing, even if Mass Effect was set in Washington, it would still be ok because (A) Bioware are from Canada and (

That would be just wrong to see New York destroyed after that "little" incident 9 years ago in no matter what opinion you have about that incident.

Good point, that never actually crossed my mind. I was just thinking that New York seems to be the centre of the world in popular culture and that everything is set there. God, now I seem really callous after calling New York's destruction tedious. I probably should have chosen Washington as the example.

Oh, forget Bioware is from Canada.
Silly me.
Also MW2 was only CoD with US patriotic bollocks.
Unfortunately most of gamers are from US so we foreigners have to get anoyed by that.
Even though I'd like to see Canadian patriotism/nationalism since THAT would be original. Then again there are many Canada haters for some reaosn in US.
Wow WAAAAAAAAAAY off-topic.

I don't think that that's the problem. A number of american movies which came out since then have no problem showing NY being maimed or Lady Liberty's head being tossed down Broadway.
The problem for me would rather be exactly that: it's been done, plenty of times. We know what postapocalyptic NY looks like, I've seen at least three different versions of it since 2001, and I don't need to add another. There's plenty of cool cities in the world with recognisable structures which would look interesting with an apocalyptic facelift in a game or movie.
