My brother's been looking forward to these awards for more than a week. Personally, the only reason I even bothered to watch was for the ME reveal. My brother walked out 45 minutes into the show.



Granted, the new special effects was kinda cool and they can probably make something great out of it with some work, some of the presenters were half-decent, and the content obviously rocks. Otherwise, the vga's were a huge letdown. This is the first one I watched. Are they always so pathetic?



Oh, and Portal 2 most anticipated game? Did I miss something?



Glad the ME reveal made it half worth watching.

Those where the awards that were actually given on the show, the other categories were rapid fired before commercials or not mentioned at all. For what I gather, RDR won score and DLC. ME2 won best RPG, adn Scott Pilgrim best adapted game. I didn't catch any others

Who cares about GOTY anymore...... Esp when so many sites and shows throw out the award to diff games like its nothing.....



And plus a not so high selling game and rpg on top of that would probably never win on Spike...

as much as i was against this...the little recreations from the campaign they made regarding the vga's was probably the 2nd most entertaining thing in the whole show.

I wish those AKs that NPH had at the start of the show were real guns. That way I wouldn't have had to sit through it for the announcements

I might not sense all the sarcasm, but why are some surprised the VGA itself as an award ceremony sucked (not the trailers mind you). Hasn't anyone heard AngryJoe complain about this?

ME2 won the IGN GoTY but yeah - which does decide it really? I hope not the VGAs because that was a JOKE. ME2 is without a doubt the best game I have ever played in my entire life. Eleven nominations! And because of being that good they had to give the awards to the next runner up otherwise it'd just runaway with the show? well that's how i see it and man am I POed!



Yes it great we got RPG and Best Studio. ME3 - meh not too insane over that right now because I knew we would be getting more news soon and from that one leak we definitely already kinda knew what the trailer portrayed so...



But yeah, how is GoTY determined? If its just by the VGAs then thats some BS.

I hope not.  He has potential I think.  Why go through the trouble of introducing a character in such an epic trailer without making said character part of the game?
