Remember they always would turn off the relays so the organic creatures couldn't do a counter attack. They are not indestructable and this will show that.Archereon wrote...

That would pretty much confirm the Reapers villain decay is complete.

I'm backing a few more teasers similar to this, showing off the other species' homeworlds and how they are coping with the attack. Only because the name of the trailer is 'Earth'
I hope so. Maybe similar to the TOR vids. In one the Repears are winning (Earth), in another the turians or asari or whatever has won a battle over the Reapers in some way that is not revealed in the trailer.
This would be awesome.

Perhaps it's also how they'll introduce a new character or two. New Asari for the Asari homeworld trailer, Tali or a new quarian for the Migrant fleet trailer...

So it is safe bet that at some point in the game, if not in the beginning, the Reapers invade Earth.

Looks like the scene near the end of Mass Effect 1 when Sovereign was unstoppable to me...

What if the Reapers land on Earth in the beginning, and Shepard has to arrive at Earth in a certain amount of time, in real time not game time, say 35 hours in order to save Earth, and every 5 hours or so a new major city falls and more people die.

I hope Bioware is going to give us a long game, instead of a day-and-half-long gameplay.

That would suck. So I assume you should finish the game within one day and half to have Earth rescued?

The stats say the average ME2 game was 33 hours.
And you could still play after the main storyline.

and what about the people who enjoy playing for alot longer?
unless you mean still playing after the main storyline being also on me3 then i also have misunderstood
but i dont like your idea, people like to play at their own pace, having a time limit isnt good

This would be cool. I like brutal decision-making. ME2 was trending in that direction with the Normandy crew abduction.

1. Building your squad up.
2. Finding / researching the motivations of the main antagonists (geth/soverign in ME1, Collectors/Harbinger in ME2)
3. The final battle.
For ME3 the alliance was still be fractured, just like it was in ME2. No chance of success against the reapers. I think Shepard and Cerberus will have spent the 1-2 years after the events of ME2 trying to find a way to combat the Reapers. (And if you remember certain events from ME2, they did find a way to combat them). Lastly the finale will be the liberation of Earth. Which i would relish.

Will it be the same in chapter 3? If so, what excuse they'll make up? D:

Ordinary force of arms will take out the Reaper agents, as they always have (Geth/Collectors)
In ME2 they have already shown that there is a weapon out there that can take on the Reapers. I think much of the ME3 storyline will centre around this weapon.

I think it was Casey who mentioned that ME3 will be lighter than ME2 which is a good thing in my opinion (if that means BLUE, rpg, exploration, no feel of rush), but I am not sure how will they do that with Earth bring attacked and all and it looks as this will happen fairly early as I don't think they would have ruined something like that if it were not.
Anyway I want to see more of Earth as I hope its not Grey like in the trailer, plus it didn't seem very evolved technologically from Earth now (buildings), but then again I can't really say that till more is shown
