I was really not looking forward to going to Earth in Mass Effect 3 (as I was tired of all the suggestions. I mean, I don't want to see what Earth is like in this timeline as a hub world)

But seeing that the Reapers have already attacked it makes me excited about the prospect about going back there! Also that trailer was quite epic.

I hope there is a choice somewhere in the game of abandoning Earth to its fate (I.E. destroying it for the sake of destroying the Reapers), or saving it. The choice would be awesome.

What was that thing that British dude shot with his rifle? I don't think it was a husk, it's posture wasn't like a Husk's.

The curve of it's leg looked like a Collector to me, but trying to pause it the head doesn't have the same shape.  Maybe it's Prothean but from a different caste... or a husk derived from another species.

**** me... Holiday 2011?

And here I was thinking it was still a 2012 release.

Interesting thing though about the trailer, of all the cities on Earth, why London?

So they could use Sean Bean?

Why London?

In a word: War of the Worlds. War of the Worlds took place in London.

Also, it's an old-world country that speaks English.

so even defeat reapers after all, how many population will be remained on Earth? I guess more than 80-85% human population will be vanish. then I don't think that Shepard, alliance can't win this war. reapers will just run away for a while. then they will come back later. nightmare is on and on.

it would be awesome if the average ending for me3, the one you get when you drudge thru the main storyline, doing what other people "suggest" you do, winds up getting everyone annihilated. You should have to go above and beyond, do that mission where you sprint thru a gauntlet of mini guns without armor, in order to save humanity

that would be sweet

Finally! Now we get to take on the Reapers! The thing is, how is Shepard going to take them out with just an assault rifle? Lol, yea right...

Just watching it a couple more times :). Its truly an epic trailer.

Also, as tradition dictates with characters as narrators in Mass Effect trailers, that the Sniper dude we saw (and so awesome that its Sean Bean!) will possibly be a major character feeding info to Shepard about the resistance effort, maybe even an Earth resistance leader. Looking forward to it.

You know what would be cool?

Going to Earth as a hub world, then at some point in the game it gets annihilated by the Reapers, and then you temporarily stop them, only to return and walk through the same hub, only smoldering and decayed.

Kinda like the ending of ME1, except even more screwed up, and it isn't mission sensitive.

Mass Effect 3!!! I'm so excited! Thanks for posting the link as the trailer was amazing! Must watch again..

Anybody know whose voice that is? It sounds very familiar..

I am reasonably certain that is Sean Bean

I dont think it is Sean Bean. Doesn't look much like him, and they usually match a face to the voice. Also the voice actor's vowel sounds are not quite  Bean's. He's a Yorkshireman, from Sheffield, and yeah, I know he can put on accents. :) Listen to this, then the EA video, see what you think. Video of Sean Bean's Sci-Fi channel advert.

It's so they can quote Churchill's World War II speeches for the best effect.

Shepard needs to have one scene with someone chomping  a big ol' cigar though.

well they say humanity will be taken in like 2 weeks unless shepard gets the galaxy to unite, so im guessing that you will be timed before their is no earth left to save, adds High Tension

So disappointed. I expected better from Bioware. I guess this confirms they have nothing original left in them. Hollywood has been doing aliens invading Earth for almost 60 years. I suppose Bioware will be joinging the ranks of EA (I know they own Bioware) and Activision in churning out endless clones of their last successful franchises.

I'm pretty happy they used England instead of America for the trailer.
