Thank you very much for the personal attacks.
For the game, which is what this forum is about, a trailer showing earth being attacked by Reapers implies very strongly that earth is being attacked by the Reapers. To me, it is boring and not worth my money nor is the time I'm spending here. Good day to you.

Get a hold of your selves! You'll toss Elder Scrolls next to your bag of old Doritoes once this thing hits the stand.

Considering that we only have a minute-long clip, I laugh at anyone who is complaining that Earth is the center and its so clichéd and blah blah.... Get a life and wait for more info to come before making your complaints!
You are completely right, unfortunately, this is likely all we'll get for the near future. We'll probably get a statement from Bioware in the next couple weeks saying stay tuned for more info but we'll probably have to wait a while for more solid information.
DA2 is right around the corner and Bioware is going to start pushing that pretty hard. They'll want to get the fans focused on that title without taking away from that by dishing out ME3 information (remember, we got the first teaser for ME2 in Feburary 2009 and didn't get another trailer until May).

I couldn't care less if it's a stereotypical Earth Invasion setting. BioWare have proven, to me at least, that time and time again, no matter what setting they use, no matter what RPG elements they do or do not implement, no matter anything they use, they will always come out with an awesome story and an awesome game in general. /Fanboy speech.
On a side note, it makes perfect sense that Earth would be the focal point, since Shepard has proven that the human race, not the Asari, or the Hannar, are the biggest threat to their plans. So surely it would make sensethat they'd take out the heart of the human race first.
On other notes, I rather doubt Earth will be the focus of the game. If anything it'll follow the path of the first two games, but a little more expanded - i.e. ME2 the collector base was the main goal of the game, but you visited a handful of different planets and locations as part of the main story before you got there. So ME3 may not re-invent the wheel (or it might, we just don't know from one teaser trailer, but even if it uses a tried and tested formula in a way which makes you enjoy the game, I don't care.
Wouldn't it be better to wait for the story-type trailers and gameplay videos before you start bashing the game for things it may or may not have or do. Or even better, wait for the game rather than judging an entire game on 30 second to 2 minute clips of a 30+ hour game.

It was so funny when so many people, after the FNV reveal, were like: NEW ELDER SCROLLS RAWR. I wonder if anyone is complaining.Mallissin wrote...
So, ME3 reveal was a let down, but good to see another Elder Scrolls is coming.

I am hoping against hope that BioWare doesn't have it in them to pull off that level of epic fail.

you kind of have to admit if you watched the crappy spike VGA awards it was pretty funny that every game earth was either being attacked by aliens or terrorist - with giant beast curling the cities urban jungles i wonder what kind of unique approach bioware will take

I know that the trailer was very short and didn't show much and I am probably wrong about this, but why do I get the feeling that earth looks the same as it is now, reaper invasion or not and not futuristic, now I know we didn't see much, but I just got that feeling. Anyone else feel that way or is it just me?
Oh and please don't follow your flow chart Bioware. No gathering allies and all that which is in every Bioware game please, it made DA not all that enjoyable for me to be honest as I was so sick of knowing exactly everything, before it happened and felt like I have played this game many times before, everything was just so predictable and not just story wise, if that makes sense.
I am sorry, I don't mean to get anyone down or anger anyone, but I truly with all honesty was not impressed at all. I really hope Bioware proves me wrong and not in terms of profit or reviews (I say reviews because ME2 got great ones with everyone saying that it has been improved one and so on, but nothing about how a lot have been removed, game streamlined, less rpg and all these things coming out only afterwards, but thats the case with reviews any way, that and hype like GTA4 and RDR which were just horrible in my opinion with rdr being more horrible than gta4, which is saying a lot, again in my opinion)

You know, I really hope BioWare doesn't deprive us of our glorious, but appropriately solemn, I TOLD YOU SO HA HA HA chant to the turian Councilor. Meaning, I hope the game doesn't start after the fact.
I wholeheartedly support this. Good lord, that would be so cathartic.

Forgive me! This trailer... what a load of hogswash! Trash! Waste of my time! I'll never buy this game based on a 1 minute clip! That's all I need to see, waste of time, failed, BioWare you stink!

Great marketing strategy. You can pick up the series in the "3rd act" because the first two games were utterly meaningless.
Clearly some genius had the insight to let that hack Mac Walters keep his job as lead writer. And why wouldn't they, if he'd been replaced, it might have had the disastrous consequence of ME3 having a plot that could actually give the player the impression that what they did before mattered.
So kudos Bioware, I think you can only impress me from here, because I can't even fathom how my expectations (or chances of paying money for this game) could be any lower.

Garbage. Absolute garbage. So in ME1 we stopped the Reapers from invading an unsuspecting galaxy. Well that had a point. In ME2 we stopped the abduction of humans in a Reaper plot to eventually attack Earth. Good thing that mattered.

Let's be fair on this point... MOST sequels render their predecessors pointless. In fact, without rendering predecessors pointless, their wouldn't BE any sequels. I mean, if the Rebels blowing up the Death Star meant Darth Vader thought "bugger this, I'm going home for a kitkat" their wouldn't be any Empire Strikes Back of Return of the Jedi, right? In the same manner, there's a second Death Star further along and fully functional in RotJ, so didn't that make the actions of the whole first film pointless?

Remember that part in the teaser where they explained in detail how the Reapers got back? Oh wait....
Clearly this trailer shows that the first two games were meaningless! Clearly! How dare Bioware not explain everything in this 1 minute teaser!

Anyway I wonder when earth will be attacked and right now I'm thinking... halfway? That will give Shepard a sort of head start maybe and will allow some time for individual missions and any last minute adjustments. Not a bad way to build up anticipation either - as you're going along trying to convince the council we know at some point the reapers will hit earth and by then it will be a judgment call (like when the crew of the SR-2 was abducted). Wait too long and there won't be anybody left to save. Go underprepared and you won't be a help to anyone.
