Can anyone tell what that guy shoots? It looks human to me...and someone please answer my other question a few posts up.
He's shooting the M-29 Incisor Rifle. And to your previously posted question, all Bioware said was that there was going to be an announcement that "Bioware fans" should be pleased by. So they just teased us by leaving an open door.
and now we finally get to see Bioware's vision of our planet's future. Cool.
As the final mission, there wont be much interaction in that location in any case most will be rubble
I hope thy introduce a new party and new weapons or something because with all logic Citadel Fleet doesnt have the force to save Earth, it took the entire fitht fleet to take down one reaper and even then with Sheps.help
In any case i dont like the "Earth is burning" scenario because it again forces the player to rush through the game
What I find funny is that fans have wanted to visit Earth since ME, and now that earth play a big part, they complain about that...
I think they wanted a chance to explore the futuristic cities of Earth, not see it burning from orbit as Reapers attack.
You hit the nail on the head for me, I was expecting to explore "the future". Different types of travel, what modern day big cities look like now that we've advanced so far in technology, architecture, the whole 9 yards. Was planning on it just being a visit, not a massive assault by the Reapers or central to the story.
You know, like going to a hub world to complete some missions but then finally moving onto the next planet or so, rather than storyline focus. Oh well, I'm not really complaining, I won't mind going back to Earth either way.

To me it almost looks like a collector. The upper body seems big and clumsy while the lower is slim. But, WTF? Didin't we kill them already?!
I don't think it was a collector. Too sllim IMO. And it was carry something in its hand (rifle?), so it isn't a mindless husk. I'm thinking its basically a "keeper", so to speak, meant for land conquests. Hopefully something new.
And we only blew up a base. There could be more elsewhere, including with the reapers fleet itself.

you all know that if you choosed "Earthborn" in character creation, they will attack earth in ME3 ...
what happends if you choosed Spacer or Colonist??
As PHub88 pointed out, it isn't because of Shepard, it's just because Humans have the attention of the Reapers after the acts of human lead forces in their previous plans to come back and destroy everything. So basically Shepard painted a big red target on us to some extent.
Which is why I think at the start Council/Alliance is going to put the blame all on Shep.
I would imagine though, that they might put Mindoir on the map and Spacer will possibly get to meet their mother in person. just to balance things out because they'll know that people would get such a reaction with regards Earthborn getting to visit 'home' as it were. Might be wrong, but just a possibility.
If that scene is pretty much as it plays out, then did the Reapers Zerg whatever forces were up in space? 1st Fleet is the one that is based around the relay linking to Earth, so am guessing 1st Fleet's toast. I wonder if we'll finally get to see Admiral Hackett in ME3 (or maybe even before then in a bridging DLC with the VS). Can't see us NOT having some Alliance forces to get to join in the action and so he would surely be our best contact (other than Anderson) for such a situation.
They may be able to generate their own wormholes or something. I mean, hey, they built the relays, right?
So what was the point of the first two games again?
It seems to me that everybody is forgetting about Haestrom's destabilizing Sun, which has been doing so for quite a while - even before Sovereign came in ME1. Could easily have been a secondary entry point set in motion by Sovereign just in case the Citadel plan didn't work. The reapers are far too advanced a race to put all their eggs in one basket.

Could have been a Thorian creeper. Naive to think only one exists, I think.

Good thinking, there is definatly something up with that sun...Bioware even bothered to make Tali doubt it was the Geth doing it...It would totally make sense if something like that went down...
At first I thought it sounded like Simon Pegg but my sister told me to shut up and said it was definitely him. It does kinda sound like him. Has anyone figured it out yet? I can't be bothered to look through 33 pages because I'm lazy and it's too early.

I was never really worried about Earth. Didn't care. Anyway, I imagine it's much like Ilium.

Judging by a new article on ign they mention Collector's a couple of times, so I think the Collector base we went to might have been only one of many
Im sure the Collectors will be in ME3 as well...Who is to say they would only be in one place...I wouldnt doubt the Reapers use them to help maintan themselves...There could be Collectors inside of the dormant Reapers taking care of stuff in there or something.

Thorian had absolutely nothing to do with the reapers. It had the cipher, thats all. NO reason any creepers should matter, or even exist. I'm not ruling out other forms of zombies though.

I can't be bothered to read through 33 pages to see if this has been said, but the impression I got from vigil is that the reapers use the citadel mass relay as it lets them take over with minimal cost, as they sever relays, communication, destroy established government etc. A direct invasion will allow the governments to plan counter attacks, raise defenses etc.
The reapers would suffer losses. Anyway, it took them over a hundred years to wipe out just the protheans, and that's when they caught them completely off guard.
I think it was an awesome trailer that got me hyped up for the game. Don't be so quick to draw conclusions (about the relevance of ME1 and ME2) when you don't know when the events of the trailer will happen in ME3 or what other story elements are in ME3.
The only question I have after the trailer is why all the reapers look like sovereign. I thought EDI said in ME2 that reapers took the form of their harvested species? It was the only excuse for making the human-reaper look human. It also created discussions about the derelict reaper. Harbinger too looked different.

People say this all the time, and it's not exactly true. Sovereign was able to do that much damage because it was a surprise attack, in much the same way the Japanese did so much damage at Pearl Harbor. If the galaxy's forces are marshaled and ready, they could stand a chance.
Also, it is worth noting that all it really took to kill Sovereign was a virus and a shot from the Normandy primary weapon, as seen here: . Sure, the other alliance ships were firing as well, but the Normandy' shot was clearly the killing blow. EDI has already shown herself capable of defeating Reaper technology, and with more advancement, I'm sure she could beat a Reaper directly to insert said virus. Once the virus is in, BAM, a couple shots and you've got dead Reapers.

Could be, but it sounds just a little different to him imho.
I think it's Greg Ellis, he even looks a bit like the guy too. He's worked with Bioware before and done plenty of Military roles both in live action and as VA. he was in Star Trek, the cocky guy who went down with Sulu and Kirk to knock out the Mining platform.

I understand that the Thorian had nothing to do with the Reapers, but surely the Reapers, once they learned of the Thorian's existence, would make use of it, if another could be found, and they most certainly would learn of its existence in researching Shepard.
