Vigil had mentioned something about the being vulnerable in dark space? So maybe the long trip they had to make by not getting through the relay has effected them.

9 million dead after a whole week on Earth?

Hahahaha.

What are they doing, smothering people to death with pillows? An Ohio class submarine could get 9 million people in under 30 minutes.

<_<

Yeah, those numbers don't impress me either. We're talking about an alien species that has wiped out every singles lifeform in the Univrse several times in a row so why is it taking so long to kill 9 million people. The Reapers also look a lot smaller than I thought they would be, Soveriegn was about a 3rd of the size of the Citadel and yet these Reapers that are attacking London are only a few 3 or 4 times the height of the London Eye ( or whatever it's called now ).

Still, despite my nitpicking I am physched for ME3. The trailor certainly sets the mood for ME3. It's nice that we get to see earth but I would also like to visit some alien worlds in ME3. I would alos like to see or at least know that Earth isn't the only planet that is being attacked by the Reapers.

Mass Effect 1: "We have to stop the Reapers coming into the galaxy!"
Mass Effect 2: "We have to stop the agents of the Reapers from letting them return to the galaxy!"
Mass Effect 3: "Oh, well they just flew here, they didn't need to use the Citadel at all. And it only took like a few years so if they'd left at the end of ME1 they would have been here by ME2, and if they'd left like 1000 years ago when the Rachni wars failed for them, they would have been here before humans invented steam power."

I"m guessing that this Guy from trailer will playable character if Shepard dies during suicide mission.

No, if Shepard died on the suicide mission you CANNOT IMPORT THAT SAVE INTO ME3. This has been confirmed, and it also says so during loading screens in ME2.

As its been said before, the 9 million is just London. As of 2010,
London has a population around 7,500,000. Now lets say the population of
London in the future is 16 million, that would leave it  a population
of 7 million after a week of attacks.

look at the teaser end, when it shows Earth. Only a part of earth is being attacked

Why shouldn't humanity be the saviours of the galaxy? Mass Effect is all about humanity's role in the galaxy.
The other races have already saved the galaxy before anyways. The Krogan saved the galaxy from the Rachni, the Turians, Salarians, and Asari saved the galaxy from the Krogan so now it's humanity's turn to save the galaxy from the Reapers.

It's more Shepard than humanity though. While humanity were doing bongo bongo in London .. Shepard was doing a suicide mission at the center of the galaxy.

It also only shows a part of Earth as well. Anyways there are to many assumptions with these trailers, I wish Bioware would gice an interview and explain some things.

So ME1 and 2 were pretty much pointless?

Or did The Illusive Man let loose a few Reapers on earth to wake up the Alliance?

Yeah, they were pointless.

Unless the clip is of the Renegade option where you kept the base and the Cerberus Reapers decided for themselves that they are top of the food chain and decide to enslave the Earth.

Im actually annoyed that in the trailer, the incisor was a single shot rifle when its a triple shot rifle.

If you remember the Incisor's description, the triple shot is so fast that it sounds like one shot. So the trailer is acurate.

Could be, since he showed a pained expression as he injected it. But who knows? It could also be a civilian grade medigel, or maybe an emergency backup version.

He seems to "sharpen up" after injecting it. Maybe that's how soldiers get the time stopping rush.

He's not wearing N7 armor, so (just a thought) maybe medigel is only available to the elite???

Yeah but only one shell ejected. If there were 3 shots, 3 shells should eject. Unless in ME2 the Incisor also ejects one shell, but I never do a no scope so I wouldnt know.

He seems to be injecting it very close to if not directly into his wound on his leg, implies medi-gel

Well, is medigel suppose to heal everything? Maybe it's a shot that stops infections....

Does anybody know who was the voice of the soldier in this trailer? He sounds really familiar...

With the leaked synopsis saying that the Reapers are attacking from an unknown place, it makes me wonder if Earth is the first one to be attacked, or is it just the latest one that Shepard has a chance of saving? Kind of like Horizon I guess. Part of me hopes it's the first planet, because that would show the galaxy that the Reapers are real and consider humanity to be the greatest threat/resource, but then that makes me wonder if this means ME3 will be on a tighter time scale.

By revealing this as the very first trailer, I think Earth might be attacked quite early in the game which would mean that Shepard is on a race against time to save it, and therefore there isn't time to do lots of side quest like finding fish on the citadel or scanning unknown planets because y'know, there's a world to be saved!

To be honest, I really don't know how ME3 is going to play out and that's totally fine with me. The trailer really took the awesome levels up to eleven, and I have faith in Bioware after they managed to make ME2 better than ME1 IMO.

On a slightly sad note; why is Mr. Ben the British Sniper (who sounds quite a bit like Sean Bean) stuck on a beseiged Earth?! Posted Image I WANT HIM IN MY SQUAD.

This is offically the best christmas ever! I am going to reserve judgement until I get more imformation about the game. I mean didn't a lot of people pitch a fit when the ME2 trailer saying Shepard died came out? ME2 was still a great game regardless. I sure one way or another ME3 is still going to be an awesome game.

I can't imagine that Bioware could screw this up. They've done amazing things with ME1 and ME2. Sure, there are a few small things here and there that i could complain about, but overall, i love both of these games, and i'm sure i'll love ME3 as well.

First I think the sniper is a spec ops guy(MI6) and it is medigel.

Second what I hope Bioware will do is have the reaper invasion spreads. It first starts as a blip on the radar kinda like the collectors on freedoms progress then spreads out attacking other planets and you have to choose who and what to save and the planets you save give you resources to use. Like you have to choose between the Earth or another homeworld. If you choose Earth you get N7 commandos or if its like the Asari homeworld you get the Asari's commandos.

Aren´t those Reapers too small? I thought Sovereign was about 2 km long, and the derelict in ME2 around the same. Even allowing for different size between individuals, those only seemed a few hundred meters tall.
