Aren´t those Reapers too small? I thought Sovereign was about 2 km long, and the derelict in ME2 around the same. Even allowing for different size between individuals, those only seemed a few hundred meters tall.

They seem like the right size. Big Ben barely reached halfway one of it's tentacles

Or maybe that is the medigel of ME3?

Maybe adrenaline?

Could be, since he showed a pained expression as he injected it. But who knows? It could also be a civilian grade medigel, or maybe an emergency backup version.

I think that's an automatic healer.  Like for times that you can't wait for your health to recharge and you need to move.

Think medigel of ME1.

I don´t get why. Reapers going for Earth was obvious to me after ME2. Nothing to be surprised at.

**** the haters, this is exactly what I needed to get pumped about ME3.

Oh, yeah, real mature.  Bow down to Bioware and take it up the ass while you're at it.  Just because you're a fan doesn't mean you can't criticize and doesn't mean that you have to blindly like everything they put out.

Yeah but it doesnt mean you have to hate on everything Bioware is doing so far. This is just a teaser trailer.... thats exactly why its called that. <_<

Im actually annoyed that in the trailer, the incisor was a single shot rifle when its a triple shot rifle.

If you remember the Incisor's description, the triple shot is so fast that it sounds like one shot. So the trailer is acurate.

Yeah but only one shell ejected. If there were 3 shots, 3 shells should eject. Unless in ME2 the Incisor also ejects one shell, but I never do a no scope so I wouldnt know.

Wow I feel stupid, since I just remembered that ammo is in heat sinks, so the sniper is merely popping th heat sink.
Wow I feel dumb.

I have faith that Bioware will not disappoint with ME3. However, I was relaly hoping NOT to go to Earth. Nearly every space type game eventually goes to Earth. I have played so many games where I have to go back and save Earth that I am tired of it. I was really hoping Bioware would go a different direction. Again, I will trust Bioware to explain everything thoroughly, but if the Reapers bypassed every other planet in the galaxy and head straight for Earth I will be disappointed. Still, I am excited for ME3 and hope it is the best game of the trilogy.

Why are ME1 and ME2 pointless? If you stop an enemy's attack twice, and the enemy attacks you a third time, it doesn't mean the previous two times were pointless.

I don´t think there´s much to explain. Reapers want humans to reproduce and Earth has the highest population by far. After harvest they can genocide everyone else. From their POV no one is an actual menace to their fleet, and after more than 35 million years around they probably have a point there. Arrogance will probably be a part of their defeat, but I have no problem believing them to be that arrogant.

The game was just revealed yesterday. We don't know anything about it yet.

 Well, I'm excited :D

Not sure why the reapies would want to go to earth, 'tis a dull place. But at the same time I don't really want to know too much about the plot this time around.

Does anybody know who was the voice of the soldier in this trailer? He sounds really familiar...

Some are saying Simon Pegg, some Sean Bean.
Seen one person saying Richard Armitage (Lucas from the last series of Spooks on BBC1 this year).

I'm still saying it's Vinnie Jones.

On the subject of the 9 mil dead in the first week...
Remember, they don't kill everyone when they're "pushing the reset button" on galactic civilisation.
They abduct, convert and indoctrinate more than they kill.
It took centries to wipe out the Protheans, and they indoctrinated and "augmented" and transformed a good portion of them.

At the same time, they're also removing almost all trace of life and civilisation, so that the next cycle of 50,000 years can begin again.
That process has to be meticulously and efficiently done, so as to leave enough behind to allow the cycle to continue to their designs, without leaving proof of their own existence.

I still don't understand why the Reapers, which are dreadnoughts, are attacked from such close range. I thought dreadnought attacks used massive mass accelerator cannons from thousands of kilometers away.

Also, like someone else said, it seems like "RPGing" around in ME3 makes even less since than the first two. I mean, if Earth is being destroyed, you're probably not going to be running around buying toy models for the Normandy or doing side missions. Even in ME1 I thought it was kind of silly to be screwing around exploring when it was extremely urgent that you stop Saren. It didn't really bother me, but I just thought it was funny once I started to think about it.

So now earth is under attack, we can fly around galaxy for some mission but we have to hurry cause there is a deadline until all humans are death and there won't be anyone to play Shepard and save everyone.

expected something better.

Look at the first trailer for ME2.... Everyone was crying at how Shepard was dead.

We don't know when this takes place during ME3, and it's far too early to start crying foul. When more solid info comes out, then we can go making something better than baseless assumptions.

Medigel is the first thing that came to my mind when I saw it being used on his wound.

Hate to be negative but it looked, dare I say it, generic? I know, it's just a launch trailer, so I'm staying optimistic for future stuff.

anyone notice things looked rather.....shiny? I mean the visuals had this odd "haloish" feel to them.....nothing wrong with it mind you but maybe it's the sign that ME3 will be atribute to the late 90 early 2000 sci fi? you know with the whole catastrophic feel and all...... I'd like that

The Reapers want to harvest the human race not just kill them.  Plus by dropping onto the planet they can indocrinate people to fight for them.

I wonder if those Medi-Gel injectors are a new game feature, one time use items that could restore you to full heath instantly instead of waiting for health to recharge.

He seems to "sharpen up" after injecting it. Maybe that's how soldiers get the time stopping rush.

If you're talking about Shep's time dilation thing - I think that's more to do with her ocular synaptic processors (maybe they're implants), which only "high level operatives" get.

It's probably just medi-gel.  It's not like he turned into Neo after injecting it.  Plus he injected it into his leg wound.  So it's kinda obvious really.
