I am wondering about one thing. The soldier is saying that he does not know "what those things are, where they came from and what they want' but at the same time is aware that if "Shepard does not bring help soon there will be not much left"

To me it makes no sence. Having knowledge about Spepard implies having knowledge about the reapers.

Any of you have the same thoughts?

Shepard is a famous figure throughout the galaxy for his role in the battle of the Citadel, but the Reapers? At most, people will think "Oh *beep*! The geth have built more of that huge ship they had!" because that's what the council claimed Sovereign was: an advanced geth warship.

OK. That's a good point. But is Shepard not supposed to be dead. At least to commom knowledge.
The gest killed during the ambush on the first Normandy. Comes back from the dead after a year or so and is on a secret, Cerberus run suicide mission. Destroys the collector ship (or not) and tha last scene of ME2 is how hundereds of reapers travel towards the milky way. From the moment of Shepards death, with all what happened inbetween the Big Ben marine should have no knowledge of Shepard being alivbe at all. I does not stick together.

I have 12 words for you.
"I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite store on the Citadel."
If he was dead, how could he promote?

I don't know, ask Michael Jackson or Elvis.

Too true on that one and your forgetting it has been a year since the destruction/saving of the collector base and he/she is part of the alliance again (at least thats what the product description says on ea games store.

Also he/she did do that piece with the journalist who tried to do a spear job on shepherd

Then why did the Reapers hire the Collectors in ME2 to create ONE of their own if they could simply take a walk through the galaxy and do the job themselves?

I know there are answers, and this same thought has been expressed many times already, but this turn of events makes ME2's plot incredibly weak. Seems like if you just took that chapter away, the timeline from ME1 to ME3 would flow much better.

But again, I'll have faith and wait for something new.

My guess, and I am pullign out of my a.... the air, if you kept the Collector base intact then it opens a gate for the Reapers or soneone does somthing that completes the Collectors work and opens the gate for the Reapers.

To me it was a bit weird to see big ben in a ME trailer :P i'd rather keep it in space, i spend serious load of my time on earth daily.

Besides it wasn't that great, ME2 launch trailer was definitely more thrilling.

Well, yes, but you don't spend a lot of time in the Earth of the FUTURE!!!, do you?

Gather your team galactic civilizations and start suicide final mission.

I seriously hope that ME 3 will not following DA:O and ME 2 style of story. And I hope that we are not gonna stop the Reapers with just brute force. But I also dont want "kill all reapers button". If Reapers are attacking all others homeworlds in the same time and in the same style as Earth, then it will be epic.

This concern came from EA store description. Teaser is mindblowing though.

I can't wait man! I love all that is Mass Effect... I just hope this time around that there is something to do after you bear the game besides DLC... well what I mean is say like if we could go back to the loyalty missions, and refight the battles, and battles only after you beat the game just to give us something to do if we want to continue play in ME 2  bcuz once you beat the game, you can go to 4 or 5 different places, but you really can't do anything, but walk around.

I know we can always replay the game, but in sted of going through the complete game, we could just go back and re-fight different battles on different planets, and have the option to continue that as long as we want. I also think that would keep players sharp on battle tactics as well as before the start of a new battle you could change your  powers to see how the fight plays out, and I wouldn't mind if that came out as DLC. As far as Mass Effect 3, wow! man the graphics looks awesome in that trailer, and I see that the battle comes to earth... well at least part of it any way. It seems to me that  that trailer looks like end game scene... maybe lol

This is my greatest concern with ME3.  It kinda fit in ME2, but used again it would just fall flat.  That is, unless there was some other main plotline objective to accomplish, like fighting various battles with Reapers elsewhere in the galaxy.

I think as we both know, that it's just part of what's really going on... I for one are glad to finally see earth, however I think London or earth should look more futuristic look to it, and yes I know that's it's London, but it should look more like the human race has advanced , and after seeing ME 1 and ME 2  and all the cool thechnology like weapons, armor, and ships, I must agree with sp0q about it looking a bit weird seeing big ben.

I hate to complain to the BioWare gods, but I seriously hope they don't put Earth in the focus of the plot! Yeah, Earth is great and we live here, but I play Mass Effect to get out in space where there are colors and ****. Otherwise a very grey and slightly disappointing video. Think I just want to protect my baby sort of, but here's hoping Bioware does all that instead:)

Can someone please tell me why the hell people are already complaining? This was a 100% CGI trailer. It just shows how earth gets attacked, nothing else. The game isn't released, nothing is revealed of the game, there are no gameplay videos and just a small description about ONE thing (Earth gets attacked) and you guys are already complaining and crying like my little sister that didn't get a barbie for her B-day.

People, please, calm the hell down. This wasn't even in-game footage, it isn't even 100% sure if you will see things in the actual game that you've seen in the trailer. Stop the nerd-raging and be patient. It's not like BioWare is making the first RPG game ever. BioWare knows what they're doing, BioWare is looking on all your opinions, ideas and suggestions and they are trying the best they can to deliver the experience we want.

Mass Effect 1 was great, Mass Effect 2 was amazing, but Mass Effect 3 will be masterful! Think about it like that! Support the BioWare developers, as they are working their asses off day and night for us.

I'm not saying you can't give your opinion or something, but i can't stand if people talk about how ME3 will have nothing to do with the ME2 plot or something.

I don't think that is it really.  I think we are just concerned that Earth will become the focal point of ME3.  In ME1 and ME2 it was about how all galactic civilizations were in danger...not just humanity.  It should remain that way.  The plot synopsis in the description....."rally all galactic civilizations and launch one final attack to take back the Earth."

That suggests no one else is being attacked except humanity.  Surely if the other homeworlds were being attacked they would not have forces to spare and send to humanities aid.  I think this is the fan comminuties biggest concern.  Mass Effect has always felt more epic than just "Oh no...humanity is in danger."  It has always been about saving the ENTIRE galaxy.

This is actually one thing I don't get about the complaints. Saving Earth IS saving the entire galaxy. It's not like the Reapers are just going to say, "Whelp, we've destroyed the Earth. Guess we're done now." As long as there's a final battle to ave the galaxy from the Reapers, what difference does it make whether it takes place on Earth or the Citadel or Uranus or wherever?

I don't want to spoil the discussion, but am I the only one who gets French subtitles in the trailer, when you download it from the ME2 site ?

I only hope Earth isn't a huge deal, the draw of Mass Effect for me is that it is a new universe with new species and new planets. I'm so sick of saving earth though. And the reapers on earth looks a hell of a lot like War of the Worlds.

The only problem I have with Earth possibly being the focus of the entire game is that 95% of video games take place on Earth or involve saving the Earth etc. Mass Effect went away from that the first two games. Yes, in ME1 we were trying to get humanity more rights and power in the galactic community. In ME2 we were fighting to save human colonies throughout the galaxy. To me, spending a great deal of time on Earth in ME3 would feel like a step back. I do understand the logic of the Reapers wanting to annihilate humanity first. I just hope Bioware continues to be creative and surprises us all with the most epic video game ever in ME3. I trust Bioware. I do, however, have my concerns when it comes to the trailer and synopsis.

Shame it's rumoured to be following the recruit-for-big-final-mission structure. You can do better than that, Bioware. THA UNIVERSE IS GONNA END is NOT the most emotionally engaging story you can create. Do better.

I'm secretly hoping we will have new civilizations to explore. I was incredibly amazed the first time ever I ran trough The Citadel in the first game. Also Omega and Illium were both incredible. After spoiling us with this type of content, it'd be a shame of they'd back off.

Seriously. I'd love to see other civilizations. It is hinted at many times that there are many dormant mass relays that aren't activated because of the possibility of another race like the Rachni. So there's certainly room in the cannon for such races.

Calm your ******, guys! It's a teaser. We wont know much more about the game until later on. But if you think about it, Bioware wont ruin the game by making the game focused on Earth.
