The wait for ME3 will be as excruciating as the wait between each Lord of the Rings films.

I hope that beating the reapers in ME3 won't be taking place on american soil like independence day.

In almost every modern film that involves an alien invasion, its always in the americans point of view, its always on american soil, its always america kicking ass, its always america this america that.

As an american, I'm saying ^ this. We ain't the only mass of land on the planet, and we're not as important as some of us think-coming from a historical perspective. Personally, I'd like to see it won either somewhere in the middle-east (Jerusalem would be awesome), Moscow, or in London like in the trailer. Seeing as Bioware is canadian, I don't think they'd be U.S.-centric enough to do that.

While the trailer was epic, I do have this to say on everyone analyzing the video (which i have done on my own, untill i remembered this). Halo 3 had a bunch of epic trailers and scene depictions of a huge full scale war scene. Complete with older gentalmen acting as vets from the final battle depiciting their personal stories from the battle. However in the game no such battle ever took place. It was simply all advertising for the game. So i will say this, the solider, infiltraitor (represent!) very well could not have anythign to do with the actual game, as well as the whole final scene. It could simply be BioWare's idea to make an epic trailer, and also show without revealing anything from the actual game except for what they want. And that is that Earth, will finally make an appearence in the game.

I am going to have to agree with MisterDyslexo, I mean really yeah I would rather actually see the fight not end on Earth, but let it be fought every where on Earth I mean the United States is really not the only bad ass country that loves to take names and break hearts, and also Sith the US was not the only nation to beat the enemy in Independence day.

:mellow:Have you considered that it's because it's Americans making those films for Americans? Watch a foreign film and you'll notice foreign settings...

I do watch some foriegn films, and then America is usually the focus point of the alien invasion or whatever. Maybe I'm just watching the wrong movies.

On another note, I found a video that I think sums up the feelings of a Mister ZuluDFA (aka Crazy McCrazyPerson):

So your saying the fact the legion being in the ME2 reveal  had nothing to do with the actual game? Bioware isnt bungie

I too am going to agree. But for this reason Earth would be represented mostly from the Human Systems Alliance. This means it would be humanity as a while a military and political organization made up of people of all sexes, and nationalities. So i wouldn't care where the finial fight is, in terms of the game as far as i'm concerned its earth being attacked, not the US or UK or Russia or China, Canada, Mexico, France, Italy, it doesn't  matter. IT'S ALL EARTH!

I know its not bungie i never said it was. I'm simply saying though this is the final game in shepards story. Perhaps they didn't want to give anything away, especially in first reveal other than earth will be in ME 3. Anything is possible at this point.

Personally i'm hoping its like Capt. Anderson's son as a Lt. in the Alliance. He did have a slight darker complexion so it is possible. Or even Admrl. Hackett's son!

Well to think of it now isn't the Systems Alliance only backed by the powerful Nations on Earth. Earth still has Nations but they arent just one government, they still have multiple governments and all they just created the systems Alliance for colonies and such... atleast thats what i thought it was based on

You are correct thats why i said it would be represented "Mostly from the System's Alliance." Of course each countries military would be involved if Brazil was attacked as well of course the brazilian military would react but what i ment was that the Systems Alliance would be the main force of protection for Earth.

I remember reading in the first book how the Alliance was first made to protect Earth.

Why is everybody getting their panties in a twist about the reapers being back in the galaxy? They don't neccesarily have to have flown here, they may have finally found a way to activate the citadel relay or by some other as yet unkown means. That's what they were building the human reaper for afterall right? to make another attempt at activating the relay?

I understand the fear that the game will conjure up some cop out reason that leaves a gaping plot hole of why they didnt just decide to do that before (such as just flying to the galaxy) but you wont find out until the game is actually released or Bioware kindly decides to spoil that plot element for us, so until then all your nerdrage is invalid.

Also, the fact a foot soldier on Earth knows Sheppard has even fought the Reapers means no one's buying the lies passed off in ME2 about the Citadel attack being the Geth. Therefore, I'd say at least part of the truth is now well known. The council, with their idiotic reations to date, would probably not take any of this well. They have, in each game, fought Sheppard every step of the way on everything he or she tries to do. I cannot see that stopping when their worst fears come to roost on everyone's doorstep.

I wouldn't be so sure.  Shepard is merely known as a super inspiring leader who defies all odds and saved the Citadel from a giant spaceship.  The guy even says he doesn't know what the hell the things are that are attacking them, when they're clearly Reapers.  It doesn't mean that cat's out of the bag with the Reapers, but not everyone is aware, and certainly not the sniper.

You would be correct sir, I missed that. Thanks for pointing it out to me.

How about Africa being the final battle on Earth, the fight for the galaxy being where mankind began.

I don't think the focus will be the battle for earth. Rather it's foreshadowing what the overall theme will be for the third game. Which is the hopelessness of the fight against the reapers. It shows an infantry grunt trying to survive waiting for shep to come help and Shepard helpless to do anything looking down. There's not much a 3 man fireteam can do against an armada of dreadnoughts. Most of the game will probably be shep desperately looking for some way to beat them back as planets are getting glassed.

I would support this, but Bioware would be called out on it because this happened in Halo 3 (that sucktastic piece of crap). Do you want to involve the wrath of 20 million 8-year old fanboys <_<
