FREAKING EPIC!!! While I'm glad London's being attacked by aliens for once, I hope that you're not restricted to just Great Britain. I'd like to fight the Reapers all over the world.
Now I just hope my Sheperd survives to be in this game, because I'd love to run around Reaper-torn London.

Did anyone else realize that what the sniper shot was a husk going after some children screaming "mommy"? Watch the trailer and listen veeeerrrrryyy carefully and you will see that I am right.

I have an answer to this, the man talking is from the prospective of London and London only, when you think about it as a single city it is a huge number. You'll notice he says after giving the 'report' of the number of dead and after stating how the English forces are being driven back he says, "Reports are coming in from other major cities." You have to remember that it is made very clear in the codex that on Earth the nations still look after themselves and have their own armies.
I just noticed a lot of people in this tread and others pointing this out so I wanted to put some common logic into the talk, lol.

Here's something I may not have mentioined before:
Seeing as we're about to return to Earth, will Bioware give us an option to select Sheperd's home country (with the appropriate accent with it)?
I know it's jarring to hear Sheperd speak in a British accent after two games of him/her speaking with a Canadian accent.
Still, the voice actors are Canadian. Therefore I think Sheperd is from Canada (if you pick the Earthborn route).

The total population of great britain is 51 million and in london alone around 7.7 million
In regards to the earlier comments about how the reapers could break through dark space without the need of the relay which in the previous 2 games said that they needed, might be because of the harbinger, I mean like sovereign the harbinger was already in our galaxy and not in dark space. So maybe just maybe he could have opened a similar relay outside our galaxy.
Im not sure about what I said though since if the harbinger could indeed create his own relay to summon the other reapers then couldn't he have done it earlier (This contradicts to what I said above)

Seen the movie Skyline? There you can see London is beein attacked also.
What I was wondering was, in what way is the Britisch Sniper related to Shepard? I mean he says someting about
'Shepard better hurry, or there won't be a earth left to save'
Or Is Shepard known for the worldwide, Galaxy saviour in ME3!? Or did his Spectre status gave him enormous attention under humans?
Well my Shepard and team (Complete) is ready for the Reapers. Dammnnzzz did loose the Normandy crew dough...(goodby Kelly, your flirting conversations will be missed).

No offense, I almost expected you to say "Ever watched this series called Doctor Who? London gets attacked by aliens in almost every episode."
Sheperd, I believe, is known galaxy-wide, seeing as she/he was a Spectre and saved the galaxy from Saren and the Geth. It wouldn't be surprising if during ME3, we meet this guy and he knows Sheperd will go get help.

It can't be London. I did not see a TARDIS in the trailer. If the reapers attacked London the Doctor would Dues Ex Machina them into oblivion.

The death total is bad but considering that the Reapers could basically just demolish entire cities with their weaponry, it's scary to imagine that despite the death they are saving most of the populace for...dirty deeds. Sheep optional.

I totally agree, but I doubt that earth will be destroyed - it sure would be a lot more interesting thoughshaneofthedead wrote...
I hope Shepard's not on Earth for long. I'm kind of pulling for the destruction of Earth in the first act and the aftermath of its destruction is more of the driving plot point for the rest of the game. Saving Earth has been done to death what happens after Earth is gone is far more interesting.
