EDI is the key. Bank on it.

How so? She got owned by the IFF. You expect her to face a real AI now?

Oh yeah. She just about single-handedly got Shepard off the collector ship. She's mined a ton of data since the IFF and, possibly, she's going to be a vital link between Shepard and his/her new Geth allies.

the Paragon players will have the last laugh when the base turns out to be a Trojan horse
Every time people mess wiht reaper tech it ends badly

Not a fan of Mass Relays, the Citadel, thanix guns or EDI are you?

You mean the Mass relays that lead to the Rahcni wars and the Krogan rebellions

the Citadel that is one big trarp to kil trillion s of people

the thainx  gun is ironicaly the safest thing on  a reaper

and the jurrys still out on edi, she  looks shifty to me...

So ideally your Shepard is going to destroy all technology and go back to the stone age.

That'll show em.

nope

point is to be smart and not give ****ign cerburs the blueprints to make a reaper, like i said it always ends badly

like legion would say, they need to forge there own paths, not contiue to use reaper leftovers that can mind rape you

you dont need the base to survive, heck that place might even indoctrinate the people there but it must have at least a use, for humans that is, which will make them the most powerful race, as for paragons saving the rachni will help them, so in my opinion is a matter of choices, the more you have helped and saved, the better the outcome

And I'll leave this with a far more logical and in character quote:
"Shepard-Commander, this facility is data. It has no inherent ethical value. Destroying it will not return those lost. Keeping it may save others."

I'm surprised they didn't go with the blown up Statue of Lib- oh, right we done blown that up ourselves in the ME timeline.

Er-yup.

I doubt that not keeping the Collector base means its impossible to win. That'd just be unfair.

We'll have an army of races brought together, I'll have the best the Alliance has to offer and the best of the CItadel Council and the Spectres. I'll have the Rachni and the Krogan, a full force of reprogrammed Geth and the fighting spirit needed for such a battle.

All things considered, I don't think I'll need the base. There is ALWAYS some kind of deus ex machina involved here. Besides as other people said, not only don't I trust Cerberus on a moral level but given their track record of spectacular failures I really don't think I would trust them with powerful Reaper technology.

Especially given almost all the Reaper destruction plans are involved with us using their technology.

I don't know, I think I'll fight with honor in this one. Besides if it does by some stretch of the imagination result in my having to save the base, I'll go back and do it. Metagaming FTW.

@Dave: Too late, they're already here.

PS I stand by what I said before: the game will be winnable no matter what your decisions were in ME1 or 2.

I have no idea what cocmended means but regardless, my Legion quote displays far more wisdom than the one you provided.

I'm with the Admiral. It will have to be winnable, what keeping or destroying the base might involve is simply a change in the method used to make it happen. I have no doubt will have a perfect Golden Ending for those folks willing to put in the effort for it.

Of course from a metagaming stand point it will be winnable.
However (from a metagaming POV and in character) I believe keeping the CB will result in far less casualties.

Yes, though I want my Paragon's idealism to cost him greatly. I want Earth to burn.

Yes, and I want the Renegade's stupidity to cost him greatly. I want to see him smooshed.

@Dave: I'm under the impression that Earth's already burning, and burning hard. Like, it's gettin' raped. Reaped, rather.

I also like Mr. Sniper's comeback.

Amen, if Paragons get boned for their "idealism" then Renegades have to get bones too ;P

The experiences need to be equal.

Yes Paragons should get owned for not using the CB and Renegades should get owned for being douchebags and making everyone else glad Earth's getting the sh*t kicked out of it

Having seen the video I was reminded of the first look at Halo 2. You remember, that whole level which wasn't in the final game?

A possibility. It could just be a teaser meant to get us paying attention, and we may never go to London. But it's far too early to say.

 So fingers crossed?

I take exception to that, the Metagaming line was me joking around.

That said I am guilty about being anti-Cerberus, it's just who I am I guess.
