BioWare has stated that after the Liara DLC no more "mission" DLC's would come out, this also means Characters with loyalty missions. So "No!" he's not a DLC character. We're still waiting on the second Alternate appearance pack though.

He's most likely a cinematic only character just to make the cinematic more dramatic or he might just be a recruitable character. There isn't enough info for now and everything we think it is or should be is speculation.

What I'm hoping for is recruitable and continued romance with Tali!

There will be at least one more mission DLC that will bridge ME2 with ME3!

That´s a pity. I would have like to see a sequence where the Galaxy´s being distroyed by the Reapers (or not?) and where the consequences of your choices are shown...^^

ME3 will be set 6 months from ME2( which means all main characters will most certainly stay, DLC questionable) and Shepard needed to 2 years to be resurrected.

Plus Chris said no dead Shep imports.

The sniper is informed enough to know that Shepard is the only one who can save Earth, so I doubt he's just some random grunt.



One of the hints BW dropped was the website for MI6. Maybe this guy is a 22nd century 00-agent?

Everyone knows Shepard, so that doesn't make that Big Beng sniper special at all.

He was just a generic soldier, anything awesome. I believe he won't appear in the game.

Is it bad that I already like 'Big Ben' more than some of the squadmates from previous Mass Effect games? Now that Zaeed is probably out of the picture being a DLC character and all we need another bad-ass working class Brit on board!

I was in Relinquished's boat on this. But I checked my source which was the Mass Effect wiki...which links to a post by Michael Gamble....which directly contradicts the citation in the article. @_@

Edit: Doesn't really contradict but it says that there's still more content in between ME2 and ME3. Doesn't mean DLC though.

He did manage to spot and shoot a moving husk/creature from right at the top of big Ben. Pretty badass if you ask me.

I think that sniper in the trailer was Andersons second in command on earth, you meet him in the dropship
