No thanks for multiplayer option. Waste of developers time.

It get locked because this same question has been asked multible times before.
(Also badly done poll, because very unclear what choise is what and ability vote as many times as wanted)

I wouldn't call it popular so much as big . But no, but I still don't think they want more then one thread on a (this?) topic. I voted no in the poll though (I think, since as others have said, it was a badly done poll).

I highly doubt there will be multiplayer, I'm not sure what everyone is so worried about. (And there is definitely no multiplayer alluded to in the trailer, I'd say there is an extra party member alluded to, but certainly not multiplayer). Bioware has stressed that Mass Effect is Shepard's story, I really fail to see how multiplayer can even fit into the picture.

But if they do, they MUST include offline bots for players who can't or won't play online.



I usually won't touch multiplayer unless they have bots (like Section 8, Quake Wars, or even Black Op's Combat Training mode).

I think at this point we should probably expect that it is at the least a strong possibility. Polls or not, EA has made it fairly clear where they think the industry is moving.



If multiplayer of some sort is a strong possibility, maybe at this point we could be cautiously optimistic that it will be implemented in a non-obstrusive way?

I don't understand why they would push into a game it doesn't belong in. You could make two games instead of trying to jam them into one.

I agree that they could, but if for whatever reason they don't, and it is in ME3, I'm hoping for a novel and interesting implementation (as it is an RPG, and until now a single player one vs. an FPS).



It probably wouldn't detract much from the game to put in multiplayer co-op, even in story mode, heck it might even be cool to be able to go through the whole campaign with a buddy. I don't make the statement that it would definitely be an improvement, but it could be fun, who knows.



The issue is what sort of multi-player, and if it has been a part of the dev process since the beginning it theoretically could be pretty fun.

Please no multiplayer in Mass Effect 3, Mass Effect 1-3 are the about story.



It would be sad if they had to take resources away from Mass Effect 3 so that we get some tacked on multiplayer and even adding a co-op mode in game can double development time contrary to what most people think.



If people want Mass Effect with Multiplayer they should make a separate game for it.
