Okay firstly let me say, yes i know it was stupid not to set a back up, so you don't have to tell me it was.
I finished Mass Effect 1 and successfully ported the file to ME2 (this is on PC). I nearly finished the second one when i accidentally deleted my documents folder. Unfortunately i forgot all about my saves and didn't bother restoring any of the files. It was a few days later that i realized what i done. I managed to restore my ME saves but im worried that they were overwritten. I put the saves in the ME & ME2 save folder but i can't play from my saves. I tried to redo the save file transfer in ME2 but it didn't work. My saves are in their save folder but they can't be loaded up. Is there any way to fix this?
At the very least i want to redo the save transfer to ME2 and just replay ME2.
Mass Effect saves are not being accepted

Looks like during the few days in data heaven, the files became corrupted or weren't recovered intact. I am sorry, but I have to tell you... That your only chances are the Gibbed's SaveGameEditor (try opening the recovered files in it) or masseffectsaves.com (where you can find well ordered savegame files of other people to import).
